What is something that you are embarrassed to admit for fear that you will get made fun of?

  • On here? That I live with my parents and will do so until FI and I get married. I was going to move out but, then my dad had a massive stroke in 2010 and I stayed to help out with him and with money.

  • Brittney...no shame in admitting that! I lived with my mom until I moved in with FI. My parents were going through a tough time and I was there to help. I think it's wonderful that you're helping your parents.

I'm afraid to admit that I am ridiculously paranoid. FI teases me because I'll ask him about 20 times if I turned off my straightner after we left the house. Or when we're in bed at night I'll ask a bunch if the doors are locked. Weird paranoias that people always tease me about :)

  • Heh. When I was younger I used to be obsessed with a cartoon called Sailor Moon. I was like 10, and I have no idea why I find this so terribly embarrassing. (Maybe it's because I'd still watch it if I had the chance! Cool) But I haven't even told my FI!

<div>Hahaha I love this! We are too. It is VERY common in our area or at least amongst our family and friends. I've only been to two weddings in my entire life that have had open bar and they were both out of state.</div>
  • I'm also having a cash bar and I don't give a flying fu"k about dieting or trying to lose weight. No one is going to come up to me on my wedding day and tell me I look like crap. I've been a bigger girl and for me to try to change that for one day is ridiculous. I'm in good health, and fairly active so I don't see the point of stressing over it.

Haha, us too!  I'm embarrased to admit it to my family and friends too, although they're obviously going to know when they arrive.  Cash bar is normal for my FI's family and friends, but not really for my side.

  • I don't know how to swim.  I get teased for it all the time for it, so I hate telling people.  People talk to me like I'm stupid or something.  I always get asked "How could you not know how to swim?!"  I always come back with, "How could you not know that is a totally rude question?!"

  • Oh please...we aren't even having a bar.  We are doing a champagne toast and that's it.  If you want any other alcohol, I guess people are just going to have to go to the bar in the hotel.  Please keep in mind that I am going to have around 20 people with about half who don't even drink.

My actual "confession" is that I play Pokemon.  I am really excited that the new one comes out in October.  I am actualluy hoping that it comes out before we leave to get married so we can play it on the plane.

I'm right there with  you on this one.  It's normal for bascially everyone except my group of friends.  I have given some of them a heads up though so they do plan ahead, I'm hoping the word will circulate.

  • I loved Sailor Moon when I was a kid I was totally obsessed!
But my confession is that I am a nurse but I HATE needles, I am literally petrified of shots and having my blood drawn. I am fine as long as the needles aren't directed at me!

100% agree!! I bought my wedding dress for the size that I am now. FI fell in love with me at a size 18, I'm not going to try to be a 6 now :) I'm totally healthy, I'm active, and I eat right (for the most part)

this exactly! when we got engaged someone asked me if i was going to start dieting  and exercising to lose weight for my dress. my reply "no i am going to buy a dress that fits me not try to fit into a small dress!" i am not even very big or  alot overweight! i weigh 138 but i am only 5'2  and i have big boobs! the dress i bought is size 14 because they ordered based on your largest measurment and thats my boobs! when i tried on the dress it was huge on me everywhere but my boobs !!!! FI loves me for me not my weight!
ugg some people are so rude!
  • ok guys, I am afraid of bunnies. they freak me out and I get goosebumps and all when i see one. My FH and friends and family tease me about it all the time. my least favorite holiday is Easter. I hate the easter bunny and i will not shop the 3 weeks he is parked in the mall (my FH is relieved when I am not shopping), And when I am at my grandmothers house during Easter she has all these little white bunny statues with red eyes that freak me out, I need to turn them all towards the window to sit on her couch lol.

  • Clowns terrify me. I feel bad because my daughter wants to go to the circus but I can't do it, but they are beyond creepy.
