Should I mail my invites or not? I'm getting married 10/6, so I'm currently debating.

They're all addressed and just sitting on my desk...all 127 of them. Just want to get them in the mail and get them out of my house.

Do you have a lot of OOT?  If so, just do it.  Otherwise I would still wait a few more weeks....although that's easier said than done.  BTW, I haven't even ordered mine!  Yikes!

When is your RSVP date?  You don't want to mail them too early before the RSVP and have people forget about it.  I would try and wait a few more weeks (unless the majority of your guests are OOT and you didn't do STDs).  That's easy for me to say; we haven't ordered ours yet either!

The RSVP date is September 1st. However, we need to know counts for centerpieces and food by about a month out. The earlier I know, the better off it will be. It will keep us from overpaying then waiting for vendors to refund money. A majority of our guests are from OOT. Out of the 256 people invited, I would say about 50-60 are "in town".

I'm Oct. 6th as well and mine have gone out.  Our RSVP date is Aug. 30th.  I have to have the names 4 weeks in advance to send to the calligrapher for our escort cards (we are doing sand dollars with names written on them.)  I only left myself about 5 days to track down those who didn't respond.

This makes me feel better. My mom suggested I wait a few more weeks, but I just want to give myself enough time to get all my ducks in a row. I'm a stickler for planning. Also, any money FI and I can save by not initially overspending on centerpieces will be awesome right now. We're also using our favors (cookies shaped like leaves in individual bags) as escort cards. I need to make these cards and get them to our baker, and I'd rather do that sooner than later. I absolutely HATE rushing around last minute.

I'm October 6th as well and sent mine out Friday. My RSVP date is August 24th to allow for a week of "Hey, you, you didn't RSVP!" phone calls. It's a bit early, but we have a good amount of OOT-ers AND a lot of overlap with two other weddings a few weeks before ours (a good friend on September 8th, my sister on the 15th) so I think our guests will understand. At least I hope so!

I'm an Oct. 6 bride too, and I have been wanting to mail mine out! I have all but one ready to go out in the mail. This one is holding me back, so they will probably go out in two weeks because I won't be able to wait any longer. Our RSVP date is Sept. 8.

If you have that many OOT guests, I say go ahead and do it!

I would send them, sounds like a lot of girls on your date already have theirs out the door. I am Oct 20th and I am sending mine out no later than August 1st, so you should def be ahead of me by two weeks.

</div><div>FI and I are actually spending our honeymoon at the Hotel Provincial!  We will arrive the day after your wedding!!  We are getting married on October 5th and  I've been debating mailing out our invites all week because 75% of our guests are OOT.  Especially since they are just sitting in the box all sealed and stamped ready to go.</div>
