tryign on dresses for the first time!

tomrorow I'm taking my first bridal shop trip...i have NO idea what to expect... what should i take with me?  what kind of bra shoudl i wear to try on dresses?  help!

Wear underwear that covers your butt.  The shop should give you a bra.  

Be open to dresses you think you don't want. 

Take one or two people.  

Take pictures if you can, sneak them when the lady leaves the room.  

Have fun!

Ditto on full-coverage granny panties.  Or, if you're cool, boyshort undies.  Basically, wear undies where you don't care who sees 'em.

Bring a camera in case you find the dress.  You will probably not be able to take lots of pictures of dresses you just try on, but they will let you take as many photos as you want of "THE" dress once you find it.

thanks ladies!  its the middle of the weeks so i might not have much by way of entourage...but i'm trying to solicit help!

I would bring one person, full coverage panties that are not see through and yes a camera if you do find the dress. I do not recommend being hasty and getting the dress on your first time out though.  Oh and be open to any and all styles! Most important, have fun!!!

Ditto PP....try on different styles and be open to trying something on even if it doesn't wow you on the hanger. Dresses look really different on the body than they do the hanger!

If you have bigger boobs bring your own strapless! They didn’t have my size at the places I went

I was also able to take pictures of all the dresses. Just ask. It was really helpful for me to look at the ones I liked later and have a more objective eye.

Also- try on different veils and accessories when you find a dress you really like. It can turn a great dress into THE dress… Have so much fun. I would go wedding dress shopping every weekend if I could!
