I took my e-ring in to a local jeweller to get my wedding band designed. They gave me X amt and said it would be ready in 2-3 weeks. Had to leave my e-ring with them and pay 50% deposit. Ok super.
Three weeks go by and no ring. Give them a couple more days and I get a phone call. I of course missed the call so get the voicemail saying "please call us." I excitedly call back thinking my ring is ready. WRONG. Lady at the store is like it's going to be an extra 200 from what I quoted you. Ok, no biggie. Diamonds and gold prices are increasing and she gave me an approximate cost. Then she says and it will be 2 more weeks. Now we're up to 5 weeks...which brings us to today.
Call them this morning asking about my ring. Get the co-owner who says "yea it should be here by now. I'll call the goldsmith and call you back." His sister (the lady I'm dealing with) calls back this afternoon saying the ring itself is ready but they are waiting for customs to release the diamonds. Hopefully they'll be released tomorrow and can be set Thursday. Ring would be in Friday, if not then at the latest on Monday. UHH GENIUS FRIDAY AND MONDAY ARE HOLIDAYS! So it will be AT LEAST next Tuesday...bring the total up to 6 weeks. Not a happy camper. If my ring isn't here by Tuesday of next week, I will be going and demanding my e-ring back (oh yea did I mention they still have that too), getting my money back and going elsewhere.
