October 2012 Weddings

Wedding website privacy

I just noticed that on the page where you create your website, it lets you see how many people have viewed your website.  Right now, it says 107 people have viewed my website...that kinda creeps me out because I haven't given out the website to anyone yet (still haven't mailed out STD's).  Who the heck is looking at my website if I haven't given anyone the address yet?!  WTH...

I went through the process of password protecting but it makes you do it by section...and it's really annoying.  I don't want my guests to have to enter in a password everytime!  Besides how would I give everyone the password?  My STD's have already been created and are almost all addressed and sealed already, so I can't add them to the STD.

Thoughts anyone?  The thought that some random could be creeping on my wedding information kinda freaks me out...

Re: Wedding website privacy

  • Could it be from how many times you have visited/edited it? But that number does seem kind of high!

<div>You're probably right.  I guess I do preview the page a lot to make sure it comes out correctly when someone views it...My number doesn't change right away though.  Maybe it just takes a little bit of time.</div><div>
</div><div>I'm just hoping it isn't just some creepers I don't know looking at this info.  I guess I just got kinda freaked out because you hear horror stories about stuff like this.  Like a stranger finding out info about wedding and showing up to your venue and being able to steal things like gifts, personal belongings, etc.</div>

  • I password protected all but the first page and put on my save the date an email address to contact me for the password. I thought that would be good so I would know that people got the save the dates
