Popcorn?

I have recently thought of having popcorn at our reception for many reasons. 1. It is by far my favorite snack and my fiance loves it too. 2. My whole family and his family loves it. And 3. It just fits perfectly with fall. Now I don't know exactly where to incorporate it. We are having a candy bar for favors already so I don't want a popcorn bar. We are DIY buffet tables for food but I don't really want it there because popcorn is more of a snack. The best option I can think of is having it at the dessert table. The dessert table consists of our wedding cake, groom's cake carrot cake, pumpkin pies, and candy apples. I was thinking of having the huge bowl of popcorn on that table since it will tie in with the fall food. Opinions would be greatly appreciated if you have any thoughts on this! Thanks!

Re: Popcorn?

  • Can you rent one of those vintage popcorn machines and have it next to the dessert table? We are also having (caramel) popcorn, but as our favors.

    We loooove popcorn!

  • I like the idea of the vintage popcorn machine, too!

If this is not cost efficient could you put it in individual bags and put it by each place setting?  It wouldn't really be fresh though.

  • What if you have your reception vendor bring out popcorn (either in cute popcorn holders or the vintage self-serve machine) later in the evening as a late night snack. After dancing and drinking, that would be the perfect snack. By bringing it out later, I think it will give people time to work up an appetitie after all of the other options you will have available.
  • Thanks girls for all the input! I will talk to FI and see what we can do! :-)
