Weightloss/ Work out Wednesday!

How is everyone doing?

I ran Sunday, W6D2... but overtime is cutting into my running time this week.  If I have to work over today I might ask if I can run and come back to work afterwards.  It's suppose to be in the 60s today and I wanna run outside!  Esp since it's a 25 min run.  5K in 10 days!

Been eating ok, no scale change, but I blame TOM.  I feel good and had a CW compliment me yesterday.

  • I'm finally done with school for a week so I'll be getting back into my routine. I'm going to try and get in a good workout tonight... maybe lift some weights and cardio. Starting next week I go back to class but only 2 days a week so Ill be getting back on the workout/diet train next week hard core. As far as eating, I've been staying either right at or under my allowed calories. Hopefully I start seeing some kind of change soon.

  • After trying my dress on this weekend and finding out that it doesn't fit in the hip area, I have gotten back on the bandwagon.  We have been eating really well so far this week.  We went to the gym on Monday and yesterday I did a stretching routine.  Hopefully we will be able to get to the gym tonight.

  • I kicked my fitness efforts int full gear the past month and have lost about 7 lbs. Now, i just need to keep motivated!

  • I had such a busy weekend so I didnt get to work out, and then got lazy on monday. But i ran 3.5 miles yesterday, tonight i have my interval training class but its so nice out I may also go for a run this morning as well....(i need to get ready for the Ragnar Cape Cod on May 11-12, my brother in law is signing up our team today--atleast it will keep me running)
  • We didn't work out at all last week and ate horribly on Saturday night but have been eating ok for the most part other than that night.  FI and I started Insanity this morning and we did the fitness test.  OMG!  I'm scared!!  I can see why it says you will be in much better shape in 60 days because even just the fitness test was intense.  I'm excited to see the results after the 60 days; we are going to do the before and after pictures too, so we'll really be able to tell when we are all done.

    I'm getting back on eating extremely healthy and just having one cheat day a week.  Eating right is the hardest thing for me.  Sweets are my weakness :(

  • I've been working like crazy, so I didn't make it to the gym at all last week : (

    However, I've been trying to find little ways to sneak in quick workouts.  When I'm alone in the lab, I do pushups against the lab bench LOL (no way am I getting down on the dirty lab floor to do real pushups)!  My boss caught me doing quad stretches by the lab bench once, he just laughed LOL.  When I get home from the lab, I try to fit in a quick set of crunches and a few other ab exercises and/or some arm stuff.

    It must be working, because my last night my Pilates instructor told me that my arms look great : )

    Now if I could just motivate myself to do some lower body stuff....I have really tight quads and hanstrings from running, so it's hard to want to do lower body stuff that makes my legs hurt more than they already do.

    @Mana:  I remember being terrified of the 25 min run in Couch to 5K!  I made it through and so can you!  You are ready for it and you can do it!!!

    Over the past few months my weightloss has started slowing down.  I started going back to my Zumba class and I do a mixed maritial arts class on the weekends when my schedule permits.  I picked up a second job for now teaching cake decorating classes at night and didn't think how it would effect my time for exercise :-(  Hopefully soon it will be light out earlier and warmer so I can start jogging around the neighborhood in the morning.

  • We finished W7 of the Ct5K last night... that 25 minute run was rough, but we did it! (I'm going off an app, so seeing someone else did the 25 min run on W6 has me wondering if the app is slightly different than the actual program. Anyhoo).

    I'm heading off for a long walk around the neighborhood shortly. I also started doing the Two Hundred Sit-upsTwo Hundred Squats, and One Hundred Push-Ups programs today too (all clickable). They're 6 week, 3 days per week programs.

    Haven't checked the scale in a while as I tend to fall apart on the weekends and feel guilty come Monday, which is my usual weigh-in day. Maybe that needs to change.
  • I started using Myfitnesspal last week and am doing well staying right around my calorie range.  I do have trouble keeping the carbs, fat and protein at the right levels, so that is frustrating.  I started walking with FI everyday again.  I am trying to get a scholarship to join the Y, however they need FI's income from his tax returns and he will not being doing his until the last possible minute, so I might just have to bite the bullet and pay full price.  I really want to swim, I swam almost everyday a few years ago and it really helped me feel toned. 

    I have not done anything towards the 5k challenge thing that we had talked about  a few months back.  Are we still doing this?

  • I started back TODAY with eating right. I have done well so far. I also decided to give up soda. I didn't make it to the gym but I'm happy that I have started eating healthy again.

    One day at a time. Keep it up!

  • Funny because I just started doing a work out routine with one of my BM's today. We started with Zumba on the Wi then we went to this serious stomach work out she also has on her Wi. We decided that we will do 2 X a week for now and then when this semester is over we'll do 3 X a week. She just had a baby like 3 months ago and she looks great but we would both like to tighten up our stomachs.
