Planning Lull

I don't know if I got most of the big stuff out of the way really early, or if I am just forgetting things, but I feel like there not much more to do right now.  Any one else feel like this ?

I feel the exact opposite! I made a list of things I need to do before the wedding and it is so long:/

I've also gotten a lot of big stuff out of the way, but there's still a lot of small details to focus on.

For example, right now I'm working on a Do not/must play list for the DJ and making sure the music for cocktail/dinner hours is exactly what I want to set the atmosphere.

I also am going to work on a shot list for the photographer. TK's checklist says to do those things much closer to the date but IMO there's already enought stuff to do in the weeks leading up to the wedding that I'd rather figure this out now.

I'm starting to work on my OOT bags and stuff like that.

Yeah, I'm thinking of the remaining things I need to buy/make and feel good- but that doesn't really include all the lists you mentioned, achiduck.  I guess it's time to work on all of the little details like that! 

Since we aren't hiring a coordinator, does anyone have another website they use to track what they need to work on? TK doesn't really provide a list of all of the small things to consider...

Speaking of the do not play lists, and must take picture lists, how often are you in contact with your vendors?

I'm in a planning lull as well, which is ok. It's nice to have a little break before I jump back in!

I'm with you OP! I'm doing a lot of the DIY stuff in the summer. I'm a teacher so I have time off to do it. Since we're using mini pumpkins for centerpieces, I can't do that until a week or so before the wedding.

We're working on lists right now, like achiduck, of pics and music. We're also working out details for the ceremony and making programs.

I'm definitely worried though that I'm missing something.

kjerl...we're not in contact with vendors too much. Our DJ sent us a packet of stuff to fill out and return by Sept. 27 (one month prior to the wedding). Come August/September, I have to meet each vendor to go over details but until then, I'm not in contact with them too much unless I have a major question.

I feel the lull too. Worst part is now that I'm not going at full speed ahead I'm starting to second guess earlier decisions and things yet to come. But then I realize I'm happy with everything we've decided and the moment of second guessing goes away. There are a few things FI and I COULD start working on, but I've decided to keep the brakes on until June 1 when we need to assemble our invites. I figure when the 4 month mark hits it's just going to get crazier so I should enjoy the lull while it's here.

I feel the exact opposite too!  All the big stuff is out of the way, yes, but I feel like the lull that I experienced over the holidays/winter is ending and all of a sudden we're making decisions again.  But maybe you're all just ahead of me...I'm sort of feeling overwhelmed with the fact that there's less than 5 months left and SO much to do.

I'm in a lull too but I'm kind of enjoying it. I'm burnt out from work and it's nice to not have wedding stuff to think about right now. Next up on my list is to get e-pics done. But out photographer says we can do them whenever, basically up until the end of August so that we can have the pics back before the wedding. The only major projects left to do, I think, are the guestbook, table numbers and escort cards. But those will more or less have to wait until I know a better idea of how many people will be coming.

I feel like getting the "big" things done was easy enough but its the details that seem to be on lists a mile long.
This is the part where I'm starting to feel like I have no where near enough time!
