First dress fitting today

Brought my dress is for my first fitting so see how much work actually needs to be done on it.  I originally bought the dress a size smaller and now it is too big!  When placing the order my consultant and I went back and forth about whether or not I should order the petite dress, I'm only 5"0 tall.  The seamstress came out and measured and told me to order the regular length dress.

At the fitting today the seamstress pinned so much of the length and asked why I hadn't ordered the petite dress!!  Luckily Davids Bridal can do dress exchanges and they are actually getting me the petite size dress from a different location.  Should be here by next week and saves me over $100 in alterations!! 

Can't wait for the new size to come in :-)

Awesome that you can get the petite dress! Sometimes I think the sales people at bridal stores have no idea what they're talking about

First thats awesome its too big but sucks they didnt just order it correct the first time, atleast they can exchange it for....hard work pays off=)

That's great they were able to get the correct dress in for you!  I have my first alterations appointment on Monday (which will also be the first time FMIL will see the dress).

So I am so happy they are able to exchange it so quickly but slightly annoyed no one listened to me to begin with that I needed a petite size lol.

David's Bridal seems to do a pretty good job exchanging unaltered dresses when they can, I feel like I have read multiple posts on here about situations like this, so that is awesome! Congrats on the weight loss and yay for fittings!!
