Transportation

What are you doing for transportation? What about your bridal party? Just thinking about it is giving me a headache.

Re: Transportation

  • We have a party bus for the bridal party, and then a hotel shuttle to and from a local hotel and the reception for any other guests who choose to take advantage of that.

    Anniversary
  • For the bridal party we rented an Infiniti Escalade (i think) that fits up to 24 people i think, there is 17 total in my bridal party, one is a toddler who will have to sit in a carseat so that will take up room, plus I wanted room for overnight bags considering this type of vehicle only has somewhat of a trunk, plus their idea of seating for "one" is not really seating for "one"...this is also what happens when FI decides to help me with ONE thing in the wedding planning...shiny objects!

Then our venue provides a shuttle, actually its a trolley back and forth from the venue to the hotel up until last call at the bar next door to our venue.

  • We got a party bus for bridal party. It's just easier for us. We want time to spend with our close friends before we have to go deal with family and craziness. I found an awesome deal and couldn't pass it up.

I am probably going to do a party bus for the wedding party, however, I don't want to include the under 21 members of the bridal party (flower girls and jr. bridesmaid) in the bus because there will be alcohol and drinking and I don't want to feel like I have to censor myself since I would be right in front of them.  For those of you getting a party bus, are you letting the young members of your bridal party to ride in it?  I just think it changes the whole vibe of having a party bus if you allow young children to be in it, KWIM?  I don't know...am I being rude if I only only want adults in the WP to be in the party bus?

  • We're only having adults. The only under-21 person would be our flower girl, and she'll just go to the reception with her parents. I don't want to have to worry about censoring myself either!

  • Our ceremony and reception is taking place at the same venue. There is also a hotel in the same building. No transportation provided.

  • Sort of in the same situation as PetalPockets. Ceremony and reception are at the same venue, and we're getting ready at a hotel within walking distance from our venue. So, no transportation needed. We took the money that we were saving there and put it towards other things like upgrading our photography package a bit.

<div>SAME HERE!!  :)  I was also wondering if I am supposed to include the flower girls and jr bridesmaids in pre-ceremony pics...I was thinking of just doing pics with the adults before, so I guess it's not uncommon to do that?  In that case, there shouldn't be an issue with having kids in the bus since they won't be with us, I guess.  They can just go to the venue with their parent(s).</div>

  • Everyone is driving themselves to the ceremony and back. We are going to have to carpool probably and I think that I might even be driving.

  • Carpool. Ceremony and Reception are at the same place, and we will all be carpooling from the hotel.

  •  Star Distribution Systems, is a really batter choice such as a 3rd party logistics provider, I can recommended it for others who need to moving and shifting to Florida and Orlando.

    Orlando Logistics Company

  • We have two limos to transport our bridal party to the ceremony and from there to the reception. Should we be providing transportation for everyone (bridal party and guests) from reception back to hotel site? THe hotel is about a 10 minute drive, and most people are from around here. We only have a few out of town guests coming...
