Days To Go: What You Have Left To Do?

Hey everyone! I have 27 days. The next 24 hrs I will have our honeymoon booked, cake person finalized, and officiant down as well. My dress fitting is in a few days, can't wait. What else does everyone have left to do? Maybe we can offer help to getting the final things done. What are main things you all have left to do? I can't wait for the wedding to come, an enjoyable relaxing honeymoon, and starting life! We have so many plans for after the wedding, I can't wait. We are caterers, and hopefully after the wedding we can do it fulltime, and quit our part time jobs. I'm excited. We have tons lined up, hope to move into a new house from ours already, and start a family!

Six days ... We need a marriage license! No other must-haves ETA: we do have things like hair trim appts and nails. I don't have anything else so critical that if I miss, we can't get married!

7 days.. I have to get one more thing for the centerpieces, and a few more sachet bags for the  party favors but don't feel like going to Michaels today.  Might need one more jug of inside use kerosene for our kerosene lamps, again didn't feel like leaving the house today.  Other than that just need to get my mani/pedi at some point and will pick up the dress Friday. Get food for our bbq on friday, we'll do that friday, probably when my parents are in town and Saturday we'll pick up our plants for our ceremony aisle.  FMIL is supposed to be doing my escort cards and card box, hopefully it gets done!! Otherwise feeling good! and getting excited

13 days. Pay cake and flower people. pick up a few odds and ends. Make a list for MOH and BM and others of what is expected and at what time, that's it! I'm bored LOL

We are 20 days out. We meet with our officiant tomorrow to plan the ceremony and get paperwork signed that we completed marriage counseling so that we can get our license. We also are catering our own reception and rehearsal dinners so everything involved with that cooking still has to be done and food bought. I still need to make my card box and 2 more reserved table signs. Plus put all the centerpieces together and purchase some silk petals for the tables as well. I still need to send a final song list to the DJ THIS week I need to revise my day of timeline. Its just all these LITTLE THINGS and I could just keep thinking up things to do..I'm driving myself nuts!

6 days and the devil is in the details at this point...I feel so behind!!

- Finish assembling BM gifts, wrap bridal party gifts and write thank-you notes to everyone involved
- Finalize our vows, oh god
- Touch base and confirm everything with the DJ and photographer
- Finalize my timeline...again, oh god.
- Finish cleaning the apartment
- Get my hair trimmed and my eyebrows waxed
- Pull everything together that needs to go to the venue - card box, cake topper, toasting flutes, etc. - and drop it off
- Pack an overnight bag for the wedding night
- Get payments together for our RD and our hair/makeup artists (due the day of...everything else is paid!!)
- Mani/Pedi

And...I think that's it? I'm getting that "what did I forget?" feeling again!

5 Days!!!

- Finish guest book painting, probably another hour of work
- Write out checks for photographer, videographer, and DJ to be payed day of
- Finish packing for honeymoon (75% done)
- Write parents and wedding party thank you notes to be given at reception dinner

I can't believe I only have these few things left, I expected to have so much more to do at this point.  I was worried I'd get behind so I've been busting my butt for the last few weeks!  Kinda wish I had more to do, starting to get antsy and time is moving slowly, just wish I had more distractions to speed time up.

6 days... we HAVE OUR SAND YAY and our 8x10 photo came in for the frame at the reception...

doing odds and ends that I think of now... making an AND THEY LIVED HAPPILY EVER AFTER sign for the GROUP photo!...

pick up the suits tomorrow, Venue to drop off everything for her to set up Tuesday, pick up our Rings on Tuesday, pick up our Hay Bales on Tuesday.

everything is done though even organized and by the front door to go to the venue!

6 Days to go!!  Print the Programs (they are already written out and formatted), pick up our photo for the reception, pick up a few candles for the ceremony and reception, and pick up my Babiees gift. :-)

Lots of little details, but here it is in summary
Confirm & finalize vendors, i.e. caterer, florist, cake, photographer etc
pick out ceramony music with pianist
work out my super secret project (i.e. practice the flute duet I composed for our reception)
Fitting & pick up dress (1st fitting down, hopefully just one more to go)
hair trial / confirmation
Thank you notes & gifts.

13 days to go and we have:
Finish the table names, get them lamenated and wired to fit in the vases.
Get the vases from the florist to put the table names in (she is letting us use all the vases for free which cut the cost in half)
Finish the Escort Cards
Finsh the Table Map
Verify the times that all the vendors will get to the venue
Pick up my dress from DB
Verify that all the Tuxes fit and are picked up
Finish the gifts for my mother, grandmother and future mother in law
Get the last gift for my Bridesman
Pack everything to go to wedding the monday before the wedding
Get my hair dyed, brows wax and get a facial
Get the final count to the venue

So much, but the week before the wedding I should not have anything left to do.

7 days!! We're leaving for Indiana in 5 days.

- Finish photo holders for centerpieces
- Rent chairs for ceremony (talk about slacking!!)
- Finalize ceremony (waiting on email from officiant)
- Make and print programs
- Pack for honeymoon
- Pack up everything wedding related to take with us
- Reserve honeymoon rental car
- Make sure my brother booked a room for the night before at the hotel
- Mani/pedi (Saturday)
- Decorate cake with BFF (Saturday)

5 days to go! We have to:

- Make three escort cards. This was supposed to be finished yesterday, but I noticed some errors and need to re-do them. This is simple, though.
- Write vows. Ahh!
- Print programs
- Finish thank you cards to bridsmaids and parents
- Pick up spa gift cards for bridsmaids
- Confirm details with the salon
- Write final check for photographer
- Put tip money into envelopes for vendors
- Finalize day-of schedule
-Pack!

That looks like a lot considering that the wedding is this week, but surprisingly, I'm not feeling too stressed. It will all get done. I am so excited!!!

5 Days (my FI was cute before he left for work this morning, he said "Hey, wanna get married on Saturday?" )

I have final meeting with venue tomorrow, I will be dropping off favors, card box, escort cards, final head and meal count, seating chart.

I need to buy a gift for my parents, that's on the agenda for today-I want to find one or two photo frames with two spaces so I can put a picture of me with my Mom when I was little and then get one of her and I at the wedding to put in the other spot, same with my Dad. Then one really nice frame for them to keep a picture of FI and I.

Dropping off dress to be steamed today

I can't think of anything else right now, which either means I'm not quite awake yet (definite possibility) or I have everything else done-could it be? If the wedding was happening tonight, we could get married and we'd be all good, which is a great feeling!

• Contact bakery about cake mockup
• Cancel makeup artist since I booked another one I liked better
• Buy apples for the guest seating
• Mani/Pedis with the girls
• Hair cut
• Pack for honeymoon
• Final meeting with Venue
• Pay off photographer
• Get the marriage license but we plan to do that tomorrow

11 days left, I still need to: finish/start the center piece, make escort pards, seating chart, confirm hair appointment, makeup trial, dinner with photographer, dance lesson, and write a few cheques.

- create CD of songs to be played at reception (have them together, just have to burn it)

- Call/Touch base with OOT BM

18 days until the wedding; 15 days until we leave for the OBX.

Every time I cross something off, I add something back on to the list that would be a small detail that would be nice to have!

Here we go-

• Order pictures from parent's gift
• Buy present for brother/officiant
• Confirm ppl who have STILL not rsvp-ed
• Print Welcome Letters, Make Welcome Bags
• Clean Ring
• FInalize Rehearsal Dinner options
• Buy champagne
• Give caterer final head count, finalize menu, talk about special set up instructions
• Finalize Seating Chart
• Make remaining escort cards
• Write toasts
• Finalize/coordinate all vendors- delivery/set up/arrival, etc.
• Send email to family and wedding party to let them know all the details of where/when they will need to be.

Why does it feel like so much more than that!
