Pepperika--YAY photogs! I love big checks.

I already know that I'm off tomorrow... because I took a vacation day!  I still have 1.5 vacation days from 2010 left, and if I don't take them in January then I lose them.  And Gzilla has a comp day from working Black Friday that he needs to take... so we're staying home tomorrow.

Unfortunately in my business... when it snows... it's MORE important for me to be at work, because that's when people turn the radio on... to find out what's happening.  But I would like a snow day every now and then... and if I have to take a vacation day to do it, so be it. 

Of course I'm supposed to work at Ulta tomorrow...

Mine was pretty fab. I am going to create a separate vent/restaurant review post but overall it was a great day/night! Thanks for asking =) I'll admit I told DH about the "traditional 6 month anniversary gifts" and it helped me get some anniversary booty ;)

Ps - Good morning all and let's hope for a quick one, today. I am already super annoyed and grumpy with work-related/boss things... and it's still only 10AM

Thanks Hil!  We are really excited.  We know the first few years will be hard, but we can swing it and it will only get easier!  And It'll be brand new, and I get to pick all the decor (tile, cabinets).  FI even added a few upgrades for me, esp in the kitchen and master bathroom. 

Paprika - Haha I see shopping trips too!   I think I know where I know you from - Ground Zero?  I realized it when I saw the common friends we had.  I meant to message you this weekend, but I was up and down 95 all weekend with the house.

Great! DH <em>loved</em> the "traditional six month anniversary gifts" and also took us out for a nice dinner. He even commented how nice it was to be out, away from the house (and dogs and especially my parents), just the two of us. He's been letting his frugal self reign recently and hasn't been big on going out to dinner, so that's a big break through for him.

Morning everyone!

B2B- I'm sorry you are dealing with her fake butt   I have been through that (it was my best friend, and she was a BM- she was supposed to be my MOH, but backed out of that first), and it sucks and it hurts.  You invest many hours in the relationship, only to be told, basically, that you aren't good enough in some way or another (whether by words or actions).  The other girls are right- you are better off without them.  That doesn't mean it won't hurt for a while, and it's okay to shed some tears.  But you will find friends that mean that much more to you, and you will appreciate them that much more- trust me on that. If you ever need to talk, FB me!

Mana- yay for the house!  I am so happy for you, but I can't say I'm not jealous.  We start the looking process this March/April, and I am itching to be in someplace that's ours.  I don't care if it's a tiny trailer at this point- I just want something I can make into our home, and call it that.

Nicole- I can't believe it's been a month already!  Heck, I have been married for over 3!  Why does time f*ck with us like that- leading up to the wedding was sooooo sloooow, but now time is zooming by!  Ditto for the 6 monthers!

I have to say, I am glad we made the decision we did regarding our home life and my job and all- it makes things like snow inconsequential for me, though DH has to drive in it  

Be safe out there everyone!  Drive smart, because you know all the other asssses out on the road won't be!

My H is up in Bethlehem, so I'm supposed to let him know when it starts in Philly... which is kinda hard when your office has no windows.  Guess I'll be walking around a lot this afternoon!

B2B- fake friends are awful. My best friend was 20 years was not at my wedding... We grew apart in college (i went away to college, she stayed home) but we were still close. Then after college and I moved home.. it was just distant... then I got engaged and she NEVER SAW MY RING! I still gave her hope and invited her to our engagement party, NO SHOW. Invited her to my bachelorette party, mind you we invited people almost 1 year out due to securing a house for Irish Weekened... She said she was busy.... WHAT!? Who knows they are busy a year out... That was the final straw. She was not invited to my shower or wedding. I miss the friendship from the old times but not the drama....

Mana- Congrats on the house! What exciting news!! I would be so happy to decorate everything myself from the ground up!!

BMR - missed your post.  I didn't think we could buy a house.  I have a good bit saved up but no where near a 20% down payment.  We thought we could get a VA loan since my FI had been active duty army for 8 years, but we'd have to be married to count my income.  That would be 100% financed and no PMI.  We hope to refinance the loan after we're married.  Helps also while FI is a full time student he'll still get housing allowance and that will pay the mortgage and I can handle the rest. 

Happy - I'll probably be a mess deciding since I'm really indecisive!  But I'm sure it'll be fun.  My mama will help haha.  I plan to go to the site once a week and take a picture at the same spot in front of the house.  This way I can make a scrapbook of our home being build.  My dad will probably be there everyday since he's a retired carpenter, and I am his baby girl.
