Entrance...

i haven't been to a wedding in a while so forgive me if i completely wrong.  Is the entrance song for the bride/groom their first dance song? Does the introduction of the bridea/groom go straight into the first dance?

No. The entrance song and the first dance are two separate things. At least at our wedding they will be separate. Our entrance song is Coldplay's Every Teardrop is a Waterfall and our first dance is Ingrid Michaelson's The Way I Am.

</div><div>PP already answered the first part of your question. For the bolded part, it can but doesn't have to.  It all depends on how you want to do it. We're having our entrance then eating/toasts/cake cutting then first dance while they cut up the cake to serve. That way special dances are going on while everyone is eating cake. I have seen several weddings though where the B & G enter then go straight in to their first dance before dinner. It's all up to you.
