Since we have so many readers here, and we were all just talking about what we're reading or looking for inspiration, I thought I'd share a review of what I just finished.
It is a rare thing indeed to read a book that is so good, especially these days, for which one gladly abandons all thoughts of phones, television, or computers, not even daring to turn them on, forsaking the body's most basic needs in order to keep reading, and only stopping to close the eyes and breathe in the magic of the last few pages, just for a moment, before hungrily continuing to the end. That is the effect of The Night Circus, by Erin Morgenstern. Of the hundreds of books I've read in my 32 years, this is easily the best and my favorite. To brilliantly merge the intense imagination of childhood with the whimsy, romance, and intensity of our adult years into one fluidly breathtaking volume is to read an exquisite dream now realized.
If you can't tell, I highly, Highly, HIGHLY recommend this book. To everyone.
