Wedding Band Poll

When FI's mom passed she left behind a ring her mother (FI's grandma) gave her. It would make a perfect "E-ring", and then mine could then be my wedding band b/c I would always wear it where as the other ring I probably wouldnt wear as much. His grandma's ring is a single marquise diamond and my ring is typically called the "anniversary ring", it has 3 big diamonds on the top and 4 smaller diamonds down each side. I dont want to jinx anything, but I thought since FI gave me this ring and you are supposed to always wear your wedding band close to your heart it would be perfect. BUT you arent supposed to wear your wedding band until wedding day so I dont know if I am jinxing anything or not....

What are your thoughts?

Could you just wear the ring his mom left until the wedding and then add on your e-ring the day of the wedding as the wedding ring? That's probably what I'd do.

couldn't you just use the grandmother's ring as the wedding band?? you could always wear both after that da...they dont have to be on the same finger if you don;t want them to be

I would just leave yours as the e-ring and have his family ring given to you on your wedding day. You can wear it on your left hand and move you e-ring to your right hand or mix and match. I don't think there's any bad juju surrounding the family ring so wear it however you prefer.
