FI and I were out shopping today and picked up our cake cutting and toasting sets. I spent most of the afternoon obsessing over what I was going to do for centerpieces and I realized it's something I don't want to spend money on. I have some mercury-glass candleholders from Michaels that I'll place throughout the room (guest book table, favor table, etc) but I'm not going to spend money putting centerpieces together, only to have put them out and take them down myself (or try and get someone to take them home for themselves). We'll already be responsible for cleaning up the room ourselves (apt. clubhouse). Time to focus my energy elsewhere: meaningful ceremony, good food, and good music. Anyone else deciding to do away/scale down on some things?
