Arguing with myself...

I am trying to work on my line up for the wedding, but I can't seem to get it right. So I have a couple of questions...

When are the parents/Grandparents suppose to be seated and who's goes first?
The MOH, does she go right before me and does she walk alone or with the best man (Whom I thought was suppose to be already up there.)
I am short one groomsmen. So would it be okay for him to walk both ladies down?
Is the line up suppose to be in a height order? Short- Tall or vis versa? Which would leave the MOH at the front of the line once out there...

I AM SO CONFUSED can someone help me?!

  • The grandparents are seated first, then parents.  Then the WP starts.  We are having the guys and pastor walk in from the side & my BMs are walking alone down.  If you couple them up going down, it's ok to have him walk both, or you could stagger them....BM, GM,BM, then MOH & BM together.  I don't like the height order.  It seems silly to me.  MOH should be by your side.

First off, there is no "right" way to do this so you don't need to worry. I am seating groom's gparents, bride's gparents, then the parents.
You can line up your bms however you want. Some people do it by who is closest to them, or by height MOH always closest. Mine are all wearing different dresses so I lined them up based on that.
Most weddings I've seen have the MOH go before the flower girl but she can also walk after. She can walk alone or with the best man. There is nothing wrong with having one guy escort two girls if you choose to do that. Usually I have seen all the guys enter together and the girls walk alone, but you can have it however you want.

  • Our reverend is the only one that will begin at the front. We are then doing

    My Grandfather & his wife
FI & his mom, followed by his dad (his mom will be really touched by this, so we decided to do it this way)
My mom, escorted by her brother
WP (I have them in no particular order...I have two MOH's...one with be with a regular GM, the other with FI's BM, they'll go last)
    Ring Bearers
    FG's
    Dad & Me

PP is right; there is no right or wrong way to do it!! Ours is different than most weddings since the groom and BM won't start at the front. If you do want to start the BM at the front, typically the MOH walks alone. That's what's happened at both weddings I was MOH in; I walked alone without a GM.
