So my grandmother called me last night and said she couldn't figure out how to use to registry thing at the store, and that she got me some silverwear. She asked if I could go in a mark the silverwear I registered as being bought so I didn't get a duplicate. So I went into my Target registry and noticed that TEN PEOPLE have purchased the dish set I registered for. I'm laughing so hard right now. My first shower is this Saturday, and I won't be able to contain my laughter after opening 10 sets of dishes.

So if everyone from the Knot wants to come eat at my house, feel free. I have enough plates for everyone!

Is it a single place setting or like a set of 4 or 8 settings?  If you only registered for a certian amount, why isn't Target telling people that it has already benn fulfilled.  Weird...

Too funny! Haha I registered for dishes and after this weekend I'm really not sure why! I've had all my stuff packed away since 08. I had a brand new set of stuff that was supposed to be our first couples set of dishes...plus the ones I had at my apartment. So I already have 2 COMPLETE sets of dishes...if someone buys more I have no idea where I'll put them! Guess I could have a yard sale and sell the stuff from my apartment..

It is a set of four that I registered for. I have NO CLUE why people have bought like a bazillion of these dishes. When I look online, on my phone, or at the store, it shows the gift has been bought. Oh well, guess I'll take the nearly $300 worth of them back and get some sheets or something haha

FWIW, I'm not entirely 100% positive Target's online print-out of that is entirely correct. Unless we have five Wii controllers waiting for us at FIL's house, where we got presents shipped (we live at an apartment, and can't get packages), ha. But we didn't get them early or for our shower. So maybe you'll be good?

Don't trust it till you open all those sets. I've heard crazy stories about Target registries!

If it is true, I hope they all give gift receipts!!

My target registry for my baby shower was a mess!!!  It put the wrong items on it, then didn't take things off when someone purchased... I ended up with 2 pack-n-plays!  We used both ultimately, so it worked out, but still.... What a nightmare!

This registry though... I scanned a towel in the store, and it put the towel and a glider/ottoman set!  WTHeck!?
