Bridal Shower

I realize it's WAY early to be thinking about a shower, but my bridesmaids are already starting to plan. They've asked me for an approximate number of guests to invite. 

How many people do you planto invite to your bridal shower? Are you inviting all the female guests you're inviting to the actual wedding? Only those in state? People you know won't come, out of courtesy?

We'll probably be inviting 30-40. Definitely not every female invited to the wedding, because the guest list is 195 people.

I think my guest list is at 75, but our total # of invited to the wedding is over 250. Im not inviting every female just close friends and family, and we both have big familes plus a lot of close friends that are mutual.
I'm dont have a lot out of state except for maybe FI's sister and a cousin in CA, they will both get invites bc one is a BM and the other as a courtesy.
Just make sure whoever is invited to the shower is invited to the wedding!

My MOH is planning one, I gave her a guestlist of 35, but is subject to change between now and then.  I don't know any of the details though, she said its a surprise, I just know the location of it.

My MOH asked me to start thinking about a list, too. I think mine will be somewhere between 20-30, probably closer to 20. Certainly not every female invited, no.

I actually think I might end up with 2 showers.  1 with my family in CT and 1 with my FI family in MA.  I would imagine I would have a larger group in CT prob 25 and smaller group in MA around 15.  Our guest list is at 176 right now so we are definately not inviting every female that is invited to the wedding.
