Armpit Cleavage

I've been working out a lot and am please with the results.  However, how do you get rid of armpit cleavage?!  I really don't want to look like I have a second pair of boobs over my strapless dress!  I lift and do push-ups every other day.  What else can I do?

Re: Armpit Cleavage

  • Is the extra skin from the top of your arms or beside your boobs? If it's beside your boobs, try chest exercises like rows or shoulder flies that help work the pecs. If it's from the arms, try tricep exercises.

  • Agree with PP.  Chest excersises will help with pretty much everything in your upper body.

Also tho, if you are still not happy with it on your wedding day... posture is absolutely key. I went to a wedding thing with a friend and there was a photgrapher there talking about the best poses, etc... and talked a lot about keeping your shoulders back and chest out. Feels funny but it really does improve the issue. Kind of smooths everything out.
  • Rows work your back. So you want to do the opposite. You wanna do "push" movements vs "pull". You need to do chest presses. Try mixing it up with free weights and machines. Also do chest flies, both machine and free weights. Push ups are also great. If you want to make pushups a little harder, try doing dive bombers. Google it if you're not familiar.
  • I think it has more to do w the fit of your dress than anything. Which is why I refused going the strapless route.
  • I tried on many dresses with straps and still found this to be an issue, so I don't think it's just a strapless dress thing.
Chest exercises and push-ups (even though I hate them) have worked wonders!

  • I have straps on my dress and this is definitely still an issue. I found some good free weight exercises that I feel are toning this area up a little. (Chest presses and variations of bicep/tricep curls.)

  • Pushups worked WONDERS for me. I did 20 pushups 3 times a day/5 days a week and that over the dress armpit skin basicly melted away for me.
