Honeymoons!

Honeymoons!!!  We are having a hard time getting ready for the big trip with all this wedding stuff...anyone having that?  I booked our honeymoon for right after the wedding...our ceremony is at 6pm, sparkler sendoff at 11pm and our plane leaves at 6am the next morning for JAMAICA!!!!  We are going to Sandals Whitehouse and I just confirmed yesterday!!!!!!  I am surprising FI with a helecopter ride across the island to the resort instead of the 1-1/2hour ground transfer .....  We are staying 6 nights...

We are going to Thailand for 2 weeks!!!  Friends are getting married the Friday after us, so we are sticking around til the following Sunday!  I am not working the week in between though.  Staycation!

Wedding is Saturday, 10.20.  We're spending Sunday night in Charleston, SC at a super swanky hotel and then we port out Monday morning to the Bahamas.  It's our first time in Charleston, our first cruise, and FI's first time out of the country, so we are ridiculously excited!

Since we are having an out of town wedding, we decided to wait a week before leaving for our honeymoon. This gives us time to go home, unpack all of the wedding things, and then pack for our honeymoon in Turks & Caicos!

Still waiting for FI's passport to get approved ("Insufficient Identification").

Plan A - Wedding 6 Oct, leaving O'dark early 9 Oct for Pvnta Cana!  8 nights at Excellence Resort.

Plan B - Probably leaving 12 Oct for Ft Lauderdale, 7 day cruise leaving 13 Oct.

I feel the same way!  We're doing Disney and if it were happening at any point other than after our wedding, I would have every little detail planned, lol.  As it is, we're just going to have to wing it because I don't have time to think about it right now!

We are headed out on the 13th for our 7 night honeymoon in Antigua!!  We cannot wait.  I have this feeling that we are going to be doing some laundry the day after our wedding before we leave since we are already going to be in FL for a week.

FI and myself really really wanted to leave the day after the wedding, but FMIL had a fit over it, saying how rude we were because we NEED to be there for the next day brunch that she was having *sigh*. Now we are leaving a week and one day after our wedding, and work is forcing me to go back for the week, I feel like it is going to take a little bit of the magic away.

Edit: I should have added we are going to Varadero Cuba for two weeks.

We are going to Florence and Rome.  Our wedding is 10/20.  Our flight leaves the next day in the afternoon and we get to Florence around 1pm on 10/22.  We are in Florence until 10/26 and we are taking a train to Rome.  Our flight leaves Rome around 10 or 10:30 on 10/30. 

We have the flight and hotel in Florence.  We have narrowed down the hotels for Rome, but still need to make a final decision on that and book it.  We are looking at some sightseeing tour options, including a wine tour in Tuscany.

Our wedding is 10.13 and we leave the next day and fly out at 8 am to Nassau, Bahamas!! We're staying at the Atlantis resort for four nights! We come back Thursday night. I'm so excited!!!

We actually still don't have anything booked but it looks like a trip to Gatlinburg TN. Fi doesn't want to spend any money and his Mom offered 500 dollars towards it. But we'll see once he gets back from Nebraska...he may be willing to put some of that money towards it.

We are doing a cruise from NYC to Florida and the Bahamas. We're not going until 2 weeks after the wedding, both because the cruise was cheaper on those dates and so that we can spend more time with our out of town guests on Sunday instead of having to hustle butt to the city and get on the boat.

We leave for Ireland two days after the wedding! I have to say I'm so glad we're going someplace where the climate will be similar to our since all of our fall clothes will be out and clean at that time!

We're going to Ireland for 4 days.  We leave the Monday after the wedding (we're 10/12) and come back the Saturday.  FI has the time to take off, but sadly I don't.  It will be wonderful!

We leave for Hawaii 2 days after the wedding to go for 9 days.  I can't wait!  This vacation has been a long time coming.

I'm not even gonna lie, I'm jealous of you all :-(  We aren't going to be able to do a honeymoon as of right now.  We are parents of 3 children & we are paying for the wedding on our own.  So there really isn't a lot of funds.  I know thats our fault but hey.  So as of now we both have the week after the wedding off.  We're going to at least try to get out of town & get a hotel for a night or two but nothing for sure yet.

I am trying to make a plan for a future honeymoon- I'd really like to go to WDW and FI has agreed that he wants to go, too. We'd like to go without kids cause they are both very young. We are going to wait until a Free Dining promotion comes around again, and then ask my mom to take 3 days off work (she only works 3-4 days a week). She has saved up so much time off work it is ridiculous. It'll be a little bit extra complicated, cause we'll have to travel six hours to drop the kids off in the car, but there is an airport with cheap flights to Orlando about 40 min away and we wouldn't have to worry about paying for parking for the car for the week. So, then we'll go to Disney. I'm planning on going in "off-season" so the crowds and weather will be more favorable. </div><div>

We will be driving to Charleston, We plan to stay there and drive to Ft Jackson for FI's son's graduation from Basic Training. Our HM will be mostly driving, but I hope we enjoy the time together nonetheless.

Wedding is 10/13 and leaving for Negril, Jamaica on 5:50am flight Monday morning.  We are staying at Couples Negril.  We can't wait.

We're spending 4 days/3 nights in a cabin in Hocking Hills! I'm so excited for it! I'm ready for a vacation, however short it may be! FI would have loved to go to Ireland instead, but it wasn't "in the cards". Hopefully we can go for our 1 year anniversary!

We aren't taking our honeymoon until 2 months after the wedding. We wanted to get things in order at home and I didn't want to be in the Carribbean during hurricane season (I'm an excessive worrier). Plus we love the Fall and hate the winter so it will be nice to vaca when it's so cold here. We leave December 1st for Pvnta Cana and return December 6th.

sooo jealous!!  i've always wanted to go there and my fiance's family is from there (technically, they are from belgium, but then came to ireland),

We're leaving the night after our wedding for St. Lucia. We stay that evening in Miami and then fly to St. Lucia on Monday morning and will be there for 11 days!

We decided to splurge on the honeymoon because it's the only one we'll ever take, and we've worked really, really hard the past couple of years... we wanted to do something special!

We are driving home with my parents the day after the wedding to Philly (2.5 hours away) so they can drive us to the airport bright and early Monday morning for the long journey to Bora Bora and Moorea for 11 nights. 

We all find it humorous that our 2nd night as a married couple with be spent in my parents home.

We're both lucky, we got two weeks off for the wedding (the week prior and the week after). We're driving to the Pocono Mountains the day after the wedding (on my birthday). FI hates to fly so we'll drive about 6 hours to get there. We agree that it should be beautiful there during peak foliage season. We're staying 5 days, 4 nights and then heading home for a long weekend before we have to go back to work.

Married Oct 13, wait a week and leave Monday22nd for Maui and come back Fri Nov 1st! We have to wait because I am taking a few days off before the wedding and we wanted two weeks for HM. If I took more than 2 weeks off it would be considered extended leave and I would have to fill out paperwork and stuff. So we decided to wait. I think I like that better. I get to calm down from the wedding and still have something to look forward to!

We are getting married the 20th coming back from Vegas the 21st and leaving for Hawaii on the 22nd. I plan on packing for the HM before we leave for Vegas so when we get back all we have to do is add a few things we took with us to Vegas. We are goint to Maui for 6 days and 5 nights.

Wedding is 10/6 and we fly out of Chicago on 10/9 for a week in Jamaica. It's my FI first time out of the country...we're SO excited!
