I'll boil this down to the basics, but when we were choosing a venue, it was a 2 month adventure because FMIL wanted us to check out as many options as possible. Feb we sign with our place and put down the deposit. Last night she calls my FI saying that they know someone at a neighboring town's Country Club and they would sponsor us so we should really look into having the wedding there. Really?! I thought we were past this. The best part was she didn't have any more info, like if the place was even available on our date! If not, sorry but whatever savings we might have would need to cover the deposit and the cost of changing 9 flights to CA for my family members that have already booked! I'm so bummed that the save the dates are on their way to me rather than out to the guests already. I'm pretty sure this idea will go away very soon and I will get back to my original question to her this week of if she is available for our venue's tasting in 2 wks! Sigh. I digress. I'm ready to focus on other planning now.
