What did you do on your RSVP?

I've been debating whether to include the "M" at the beginning of the blank line where guests write their names. I'm sure I should per etiquette but I'm curious to know how many of you are? Most of the people I have showed my cards too have asked me what it is.

I'm including the M on mine. When I showed it to my mom she didn't know what the M was for either, but then after I explained it to her she liked it. She had suggested some other way of doing it (I forget now), but after I explained the M she said she liked that way better.

I'm planning to. I've never recieved an invitation and RSVP that didn't have it.

I actually wasn't planning on putting the "M". What all exactly is the point of it? Am I missing something? I've always filled them out on RSVP's with "r. FI and Ms. Me" (our real names, obviously), but have I been doing it wrong? Ha!
