registry peeking?!

I remember reading in another post a while back to not look at your registry because it will ruin all the surprise. My bridal showers are just getting scheduled and I can't help but peek! Luckily nothing has been bought yet. I just need to stop! lol Anyone else ever peek?

We made a registry before our engagement party.  Our mothers both insisted on having a registry before hand.  I went to add something we forgot and saw "2 new purchased items."  I cracked and looked.  Luckily most people buy stuff the day of so I didn't know what the rest of the presents were.  I'm terrible, FI hides my xmas presents at his parents house!!!

I've been peeking! I blame most of it on because we made the mistake of registering at Target (SUCH A PAIN!) and stuff keeps being wonky.

Yeah, i peak too...i can't help it LOL!  The "thank you card manager" on our Macy's registry isn't working, so I won't know who bought what...the one of the Williams-Sonoma registry works though LOL.  We received a bunch of stuff for engagement gifts, but nothing has been purchased in a couple of months.  The invites for my bridal shower don't go out until the beginning of July (August 11th shower), so I don't think anything will be purchased for a while.

FI and I definitely peek at the registry. Actually, I think he might be worse than me! I just had my first bridal shower earlier this month and we couldn't help but peek at the lists the week before it. For us, the gift isn't a surprise because we already know what's on our registry, the true surprise is the gift giver. I think that's the exciting part!

I would definitely be peeking if I had a registry. I'm a stalker like that. I did it for me first wedding.

We haven't registered yet, but have just decided on September for the shower with my BMs so we'll register sometime this summer. Once invites are out I'm sure I'll be creeping like mad.

I definitely check and I know it's super early!  Once shower invites go out I'll probably check rather regularly lol.  I agree with PP though, the surprise is actually the gift giver, not the gift...we already know what went on our registry.  And I'm really not sure if I registered for enough, etc. so I'm keeping an eye on it for that reason too!

I peek : I am not so good with surprises! We've had some things purchased, but our shower is not until August, so I don't expect much until then.

I can't help but peek!  I look often mainly because I keep changing things LOL.  The invites for both my showers (7/14 & 7/22) will go out this week and my FMIL has told me once they go out I have to stop making changes! Luckily I am at a point where I think I have everything finalized :-)

I am a registry peeker as well and nothing has been purchased yet. I had my mom look at it as well and she said I had to order MORE things and we are unsure of what to add because we don't want to add items just for the sake of  adding them....

We just added the last few things within the last couple weeks. But I find myself still peeking! You guys bring up a good point that you already know whats on the registry and the surprise is who its from. I guess that allows me to still peek from time to time, right?

I peek but I blame my fiance.  His sisters bought us engagement gifts a few months ago and he was like I know what they got, I checked the registry.  He planted that seed in my head, so now I check like once a week.  He apparently checks daily though, so I think he's worse than me.

i check too--- i am horrible! i also look for christmas/ birthday presents! lol fi actually doesnt bring any presents in around occasions i know i am getting presents! he leaves them in his trunk or at his parents house!

yes!! I totally peek too! I thought I'd be able to hold off but I cant! Our shower isnt until Aug. 4th and our shower invites will go out June 7th. There are only a few people that know about our registry since the invites havent gone out yet but we did get a few gifts already. It's so much fun to look at it every now and then! I dont know who couldnt look at theirs??!?! Obviously people that have some self control

When I was pregnant with my son, I peeked CONSTANTLY at our registry. This time, I've been better.... only once a week instead of every hour!
