October 2012 Weddings

Mrs. S here! Sorry so long, PIP

Hello everyone!

My wedding was Saturday and everything was incredible!  It was chilly, but very sunny.  Hair and make-up ran late, but that was the only thing that went wrong with the day :)

We began nice and early at the hair salon.  Everyone was very happy with their finished hair product.  We came back to my parent's house for make-up.  My artist and her 2 assistants did a beautiful job.  I got compliments all night on how everyone's make-up came out.

My florist delivered the bouquets and boutaneers (sp?) an hour earlier than scheduled.  The bouquets were so much better than what we discussed and my vision.  I nearly cried when I saw them, they were so incredible!

The photographer came and begane taking photos of everyone getting ready, the rings, shoes and bouquets.  He did some amazing looking shots and I can't wait to see my pro photos.

Our limos came on time, we took photos outside and headed to the church.  I was perfectly calm until we pulled up in front.  My parents got out of the car and I got emotional.  I nearly cried, but stopped myself.  We went inside the church and the emotions hit again.  I began singing a song that my nephew likes from Yo Gabba Gabba and that made everything ok.  The best moment was when it was just my dad and I waiting for our music to cue up.  I got a chance to really thank him for everything he did for me.  He cried all the way down the aisle.

Walking down, seeing H was amazing.  I wanted to run, but didn't.  The ceremony went perfectly.  Everything was beautiful.  Almost everyone commented throughout the night about my ceremony.

We went to the golf course for photos and although it was cold, it was worth it.  The photographer only showed us one shot that didn't come out the way he wanted, but it still looked amazing.

Guests began to come for cocktail hour about 15 minutes early and it was nice to see so many happy faces.  Once again, the florist outdid my vision with the escort card table and our centerpieces.  Our cake was perfect also.  it was an exact replica of the photo we provided to the baker.

H's family is Jewish, so we had his grandfather cut challah bread and say a Hebrew blessing before  dinner and we did the Horah.  I was having fun in the chair until my friend's incredibly drunk husband pushed me out of the chair by lifting me too high.  Luckily H's cousin was there, saw me falling, dropped the chair and caught me.  I would go up in the chair again without a drunk many lifting me :)

We had no no shows and everyone had a blast.  The next morning at breakfast at the hotel, H's relatives couldn't say enough about what a great time they had.  My parents have been receiving phone calls all day yesterday and today about what a great time people had.

There were so many amazing memories that stand out in my head, but the best was seeing 2 families come together and celebrate something happy.  On both sides, our relatives rarely see each other.  Getting to be together and have fun made all of my planning worth while.

So happy it's over now!  Now H and I are waiting to leave on our honeymoon next month :)

Our cake.  H picked out the pattern for it.
