What are your intro songs for the reception?  Any special meaning?

We are doing an 80s theme. I love the 80s and all the music, so it was an easy choice for us.

We're using "That Man" but Caro emerald. No real special meeting, just fits with our theme and we like it.

We're letting our bridal party pick the songs they want to walk into (which reminds me...I need to remind them to pick something...for the 100th time!!!)

Each song will just be about a 30 seconds clip (just long enough to walk into and be announced)

My mom is walking to Black Eye Peas Tonight's Going to Be a Good, Good Night

FI's parents are walking to Paradise by the Dashboard Light (I HATE this song, but it's "their song", so I let it go)

BM and GM need to let me know

The parents and bridal party will be coming in with Ray Parker Jr's "Ghostbusters" FI and I just think this song is fun.

We will be entering in with Led Zeppelin's "Immigrant song" FI and I both LOVE LZ. Immigrant song is my favorite LZ song and FI says it is perfect because the song is loud and in your face and we are very loud and in your face.

Everyone is walking in to their own Metallica song, but we haven't put the songs together yet.  FI and I are huge Metallica fans and we went to see them in Vegas and got to meet the band two years ago.  It's not very traditional I guess, but it's very us.

Only my FI and will have an official entrance and we are using "Good Feeling" by Flo-Rida. No special meaning. We both love the song and think its upbeat and fun.

We will use Crazy in Love by Beyonce for FI and I.  For the bridal party, we are using Wild Ones by FloRida.  I don't think our parents will make a special entrance.  None of the songs have special meaning.  We just like the beats.

We haven't decided yet.  Parents aren't doing a grand entrance - they'll just be introduced.  FI wants to do intros of the WP similar to the old school "away team" intro at Bulls games (from the Jordan era) and then have us introduced like the Bulls used to be, but I'm not so sure about that.  (We're both from Chicago and both grew up watching Jordan and the Bulls.)

FI and I spent a lot of time when we first began seeing one another talking about how important music is to us individually. Ironically, we don't really have a song, or a band...and we don't have music selected for the ceremony! My sister made arrangements for someone to play the guitar for us, and I told her he has free reign as far as music goes.

We're playing "Spies in the Night: the James Bond Theme" by the Brian Setzer Orchestra. FI is a huge Bond fan and it's just a fun, jazzy song.

I have no idea! We haven't planned any of the reception songs really except first dance. I was planning to sit down this weekend with Fi to do that since it was a long one and he had to go to Nebraska for work..so it didn't quite happen..I know I want something fun and upbeat and we'll prob just do WP and us..and possibly to the same song..maybe not..idk!

I'm glad to see that I'm not the only one that doesn't know yet! FI and I have gone back and forth about music and haven't even picked our first dance yet. I think Celebration by Kool and the Gang would be an awesome entrance song and it's what I am leaning towards.

Parents song is Celebration by Kool and the Gang
Bridal Party is Get Ready for This by 2Unlimited-this is cause FI and his friends use to be into Volleyball and that song was always played
and for us we are using Bring Em Out buy JayZ just thought that fits for us...

For the bridal party groomsmen and bridesmaids, it will be All of the Lights by Kanye West. For me and FI, it will be My Chick Bad by Ludacris. No special meaning, I just like the way they sound and both fit in with the party vibe atmosphere we're going for. Not doing any entrances for the parents and the flower girls...

We're just having everyone walk in to one song. It's the Throne Room Theme from Star Wars. We're geeks and that piece has a nice trumpet fanfare at the beginning to call people's attention that we're entering, then a quieter section for the bridal party then another fanfare for me and FI/H.

FI and myself were just trying to figure this out yesterday. We are super country, and would like to use the grand enterance to get the (formal classy) party started. We are thinking that BP will come in to 'Whatever makes you feel like a rockstar" and we are debating coming into 'Truck yea"

Awesome, I'm not the only one doing a geeky reception entrance! We're using the main title theme from Star Wars for the bridal party, and the Imperial March for FI and I. FI begged me to use the Imperial March for our entrance because he thinks it's badass. And because he sort of fancies himself a Sith Lord, LOL...he's the type who always thinks the bad guys are cooler than the heroes.

In keeping with the Star Wars theme, we're giving our wedding party toy lightsabers to do a sword arch for us to walk under when we come in.

Our WP is walking in to Walk this Way by Aerosmith.  FI and I are entering to Shipping Up to Boston by the Dropkick Murphy's.  FI is Irish and we're close to Boston, plus it's an iconic Red Sox song so we just felt like it fit in an abstract way.

It's NOT my favorite part of weddings (too much attention), and so I wanted something that could be pretty low-key, so we're doing "Home" by Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeros for party and us (no special entrance for parents-- mine are even shyer than me, so they'd be mortified!). I figure something that people clap along to, fine, as long as I didn't have to like, dance in or something. It's so cute when other people can do it, but I'd just be a red clammy mess about it.

Our ceremony and reception are in the same location.  We're not doing an intro song for the reception but we have hand-picked the music that will play during the reception (no DJ).

FI wants to walk out to Kid Rock's "So Hot".....I am not sure that is great, but it will have to do if we cannot come up with anything else!

I don't think we are doing any specific song when we are announced.  I will let FI handle that decision!

My FI is a countryboy, most of our music is country with some rock mixed in, and we chose "This Is Our Time" by Kenny Chesney.  Since our wedding party is so small, everyone will come in during the same song.
