Wedding night reservations

How are you guys getting to your hotel? Limo? Rental fun sports car? Driving yourself?

Are people stayinh in hotel suites or just going home?

I'm debating :) What are your thoughts?

Re: Wedding night reservations

  • We will probably drive the diesel truck to the hotel because we are redneck like that!

We get a free upgrade to a suite with 10 rooms booked and free room with 25 rooms.  Since 75% of our guests are OOT we should get the free room (if they block two nights that equals two rooms).

  • We have a block of hotel rooms reserved for our guests at a local hotel.  We also reserved a shuttle that will be shuttling guests back and forth at the beginning and end of the wedding.  If we have 20 rooms booked by our guests, we get the whirlpool suite free to stay on our wedding night.  We'll end up taking the shuttle from the reception to the hotel with the rest of the guests.

  • I'm not sure about transportation there, but I reserved a nice bed and breakfast room for the weddin night and one night after. I blocked off rooms at a local chain hotel for OOT guests.

  • We got a free room with our reception package. Since we're doing everything in one place, no transportation is needed. :)

  • Our venue is associated with a hotel, so our package included a honeymoon suite and 5 free rooms, they also automatically blocked off 10 rooms for us at a time as well as a shuttle/trolley that will take guests back and forth up until last call at the bar/restaurant that is next door to our venue.
  • Our venue is in the same building complex as a hotel so we will just have to take the elevator.

  • I booked a room for myself and the ladies in the wedding party for the night before, since we all live outside the city where the wedding is(I'm over an hour away).  Plus side is its right by the Salon we are using for hair and makeup. The guys haven't decided yet if they want to stay in the city or just drive in. Also booked a suite in the same hotel for the Wedding Night which was very convenient!

For transportation, I let my fiance be in charge of that responsibility,  probably just be using his truck, its his baby.  He did mention something about leasing a Red Camaro Convertible for the weekend, but I don't know if he was serious about it.

  • Since our reception venue is giving us our wedding night free in the historical inn on the other side of the courtyard no transportation will be needed for us either and its all taken care of. We're staying in the presidential suite (presidential bc its the hometown of Jimmy Carter)

  • Our transportation rental (stretch SUV) includes dropping us off somewhere after the reception. FI really wants to book a hotel room, I really don't see the point seeing as we have our own house and will have to be up early to get to the next day brunch.....
  • We will be staying at a hotel.  We will probably drive ourselves or we may have FI's brother drive us since he will be staying at the same hotel.
