Garter Toss Question

We are doing the traditional bouquet and garter toss.  I purchased a cheapie garter to use in the toss.  Now my questions- for anyone doing like this, should I wait until it's time for the toss and put the tossing one on then?  How are y'all working this out?

I just assumed I'd wear both with the toss garter below so FI takes the right one off at the reception.

I was wondering this same thing!  I actually tried on both of mine at the same time and I didn't like the way it felt at all.  I knew it would bug me wearing both the whole night.  I think I'm just going to wear my keepsake garter during the day and night.  When it's time to do the garter toss, I'll just slip on the other one for tossing.  I'll probably keep the toss one in my purse/clutch.  I was gonna let my FI know to only take the one closest to him and toss that one.  

I dunno if that's how people normally do it but that's what I'm doing.  Haha.

I'll probably put the toss one on either when we bustle the dress or the first time I have to go to the bathroom. I still need to buy a cheap toss garter though, I have a garter but it's the Steelers one that FSIL gave me last Christmas. I don't want Fi tossing that one!

Thanks ladies. I think I'll put it on before the reception and just tell FI which one to get.

That's a good idea to do it during the bustling of the dress!! I might do that! I love my garter, though! Thank you etsy!

What if you wore one on each leg? And let FI know ahead of time which garter he is tossing?
