Getting Nervous...

Our reception venue has a 90 person minimum requirement.  So far we're at 11 declines so only 6 more people can decline out of 45 people left!!!  :-(

    I wouldn't panic yet, there's likely still some time for people to RSVP.  Hopefully they're all trying to work out travel arrangements. :)

    If you do end up below the minimum number of people, can you upgrade your bar or add a midnight snack that will make up for the cost of those people in order to meet the minimum?  I hope your venue will be willing to work with you (in terms of minimum people vs. minimum amount spent) if it comes down to it.

    I know you're right, our RSVP date isn't till 9-14.  But I'm a worrywort!

    Unfortunately we can't upgrade the bar because its already open bar.  Hoping they will work with us somehow if we are under the minimum.

    Honestly they probably will just charge you for 90 ppl since that is the min. try to stay optomistic. :)

    WE have a 90 person min as well... if we went under as PP said we would be charge the minimum 90 people to make it affordable.. luckily we have 100... exactly... if we go over we have to rent an extra room...

    Being and out of town wedding as well.. my family has to travel 2.5 hours to come to the wedding we sent the invites out WAY Early... then after responses sent out a second batch to our 2nd guest list... thankgoodness all are in now... we have to give our final head count on the 9th.

    IT will work out for you I am sure... I am sending you positive vibes and LOTS of THEM! :D

    I agree with Jenny, they will probably just charge you for 90 people regardless if you are under.  It should all be fine!

    There is more you can upgrade than your bar - can you add a sweets table in addition to your cake?  Maybe do a midnight snack through the venue of pizza, sliders, and fries?  There's still 2 weeks until your RSVP date and 45 people left to rsvp.  I know it's easy to worry about this stuff, but at this point, you can't do anything about it right now, so don't stress about it too much.

    What if you gave people who were invited as singles the ability to bring a date now.  We have run into some unexpected declines and now  are allowing them to bring a date if they wish.
