So, Friday was a busy day! We FINALLY put down our catering deposit and got that booked, after having the price per person knocked down by $3.

Bonus! AND our consulant and I convinced FI that a beer/wine open bar with a signature cocktail would be much better than a full liquor bar, since almost all of our guests drink beer wine anyway. He agreed that cash purchase liquor would be good enough!
That saves us $12 a person!! Also got some feedback on how to display our 1000 cranes from our consultant...just need to finish the last 500!!!
After the venue visit, we headed to the jeweler's and ordered our wedding bands!!
Our bridal shower was a 70's themed Jack and Jill party, so everyone was all decked out in their finest hippie clothes. FI finally asked a friend to be his 5th and final groomsman (he's been slacking), we got a good chunk of our registry items, had some amazing food, AND the party was so great, we had the cops called on us!!!
No, seriously, we did. But it was by the jerk who manages the clubhouse we rented who didn't want to return my BMs security deposit because he came 20 minutes earlier than our contracted end time, and was pissed that we weren't done cleaning up and gone! A police officer friend of mine (who was slightly inebriated) starting shouting at him, and the guy's wife called the cops!
In our haste to clean, my MoH's purse was grabbed by a friend, so she started freaking out, and then THREE police cars roll up!! It was a ridiculous situation, and the cops agreed as soon as they went in and saw that the place was immaculate, and no one was fighting or rioting or whatever the manager's wife told the police. They were just jerks who wanted to keep our money! Overall, it was a great night, the deposit and purse were recovered, and now we have a funny story to tell! Who can say they had the cops called because of their bridal shower?!
