Did you make menu cards or programs?

Some one on the DIY board posted this vista print email...I'd LOVE to use those 50 free rack cards as either menu cards or programs...or both.

I just don't really know how to make it look right?  What are you putting on your menu cards? We're having soup/salad/entree.  Are you also putting the desserts?

What about programs? I don't think they're necessary...but if they're free then I was going to make them a nice touch.

OR is there anything else you'd use those rack cards for that maybe I'm not thinking of?

Re: Did you make menu cards or programs?

  • I printed my own menu cards based off a design that I saw on Etsy.  This is what they look like:
It has a description of the appetizer, the entree choices, the kid's option, and then just Cake, Coffee, Italian Pastry, and late night snack.  I couldn't fit full descrpitions of those too.

For programs, I'm making those myself too.  They look like this (this is a blank one):

  • I took the menu card on Vistaprint and designed my programs.  I just put the basic info (names, date, location, and order of service).  I didn't include parent/wedding party info nor did I include song titles/musician's name.
  • We were going to and then when I started to get overwhelmed it was the first thing to go. I just couldn't figure out how to make them right or what to put on them so I trashed the idea.

  • programs and menu cards were on my list of things to do if I had time.   As of last night I had finished both.  I did both myself.

For the menu cards I cut purple cardstock into 4x6 in, printed the menu onto plain white paper cut into 3x5 in, hole punched the top and tied them together with ribbon.

For the programs I made a tri-fold brochure in Word, bought paper in my color scheme and printed them double sided at work.  The programs list our names & info on front, openning to a list of our bridal party, openned fully to both our reading printed on each side and our order of ceremony in the center (songs played listed as well), and the back is a thank you to family and friends.

    Super easy and very inexpensive.
