Can we talk tips?

What/who are you tipping? Can someone look over my thoughts and tell me what I should be doing? lol

Photographer - Close friend and works for herself. No tip.

Caterer - No gratuties included in contract. Online sources seems to suggest between $20-25 per waiter, $25 for bartender. I'd feel good about this, our caterer already disclosed to us they are paid $25 an hour so this seemed alright to me.

Coordinator - Is just starting her business and is working through our caterer. Our caterer isn't charging us for her services. We have her the day of. I'm thinking $75-100?

Band - Really not sure, 5 members, $500 for 4 hours play time. Playing for themselves, booked through them. Plus $50 for travel expenses.

The only thing I suggest is that you do tip your photographer. She may be a close friend and own her own business but photographers struggle more during the fall and winter months and a little extra something doesn't hurt. It could even be just a small gift like a gift card or 10-20$ just to show you really appreciate her doing it.

I agree with pp, I would tip the photographer, if not a monetary tip then I'd at least give her a gift certificate to some place that she likes. She's got an important job...

Hmmm, I wasn't thinking about tipping our photographer because he owns his business, but I guess a gift card might be nice.....plus he has an assistant that I definitely should tip something.

I'm not going to tip our waiters because there is gratuity already in our bill.

My florists & DOCs are family friends so I plan to tip them with gift cards or something.

This is who i am tipping. 

1. Makeup and hair dresser 20%

2. Caterer - Already in Contract 

3. Limo - Already included in contract

4. DJ - Alreadey included in contract

5. Photo - not sure now.  wasn't planning on it. Gift card to dinner?

6. Bartender - Included in contract.
