Your makeup artist? I'm from a small town and I don't know where to begin looking for one!

My area has a wedding vendor review website and I found her on there. I had heard of her already through word of mouth but the reviews on the website really sealed the deal - as well as meeting her in person and my trial.

Try posting on your local board, I'm sure the girls there will be able to recommend someone.

Mine is the woman that my FI's mom goes to regularly, so my best suggestion would be to ask around your friends. Check out any salons/spas in the area. I live in a pretty small town and somehow there are still like twelve or fifteen beauty places in the surrounding area.

My closest local board is like 3 hours away. So they're really no help. I've got the hair under control its just I don't know anyone who does makeup! I've searched online and nothing comes up.

Maybe ask your hair stylist? They must be familiar with someone in the area who has had mutual clients.

ask around.  Word of mouth is how we found our florist, wouldn't have otherwise as she has no website, only a Yelp page! I'm sure somebody knows someone who does or wants to do this type of thing.

I live in a small town too (two bars and a post office), but we are getting married in a city about an hour away so I looked up salons online that are in the city and picked a couple that I might be interested in.  I went in a couple weekends ago with my MOH to meet with them and ended up picking the first one we visited because of everything they had to offer and the convience of their location being close to our venue.

I asked my hair stylist for suggestions, figured she'd be a great place to start, although still need to get the ladies number and contact her.

Mine is a friend, who is currently in beauty school.  My back up is also a friend, who graduated recently from the same school, LOL!

If you've got a beauty school around (ours is National Academy of Beauty Arts) then ask them if students want to try out.

I'm going with asking your hairstylist like a lot of the other posts said.
I'm a hairstylist myself and even though my salon doesn't have a makeup artist that will do on location makeup, I know three or four amazing makeup artists to recommend. 
I would think with everything youre dealing with, that'd be your best bet.
