Guest book & picture frame?

So my FI picked up a lovely little guest book to have at the wedding ceremony.  I had actually been thinking of getting this http://www.davidsbridal.com/Product_Personalized-Signature-Frame-with-Beveled-Frame-SKBV_Reception-and-Favors-Wedding-Reception-Signature-Frames-Platters picture frame, but was thinking of having it at the reception.  Is it silly to have them both? One at the ceremony (book) and one at the reception (frame)?

  • I would do one or the other at both locations.

  • I agree. Pick the one you both like best and have it at the ceremony and then move it to the reception.

  • Definitely only one.  Pick your favorite and have it at both locations (although I've only seen guest books at the reception - one less thing to make sure gets taken from the church).
  • I would pick one or the other or just set them both on the table at the reception and let people choose which one to sign.

  • I have a guest book because I wanted people to be able to write things...its a mixbook with our engagement photos. I also will have a photobooth at the reception and a book for people to put the photos in for us as a keepsake. I have been to weddings where they have a more traditional guest book and then something like art work I think its ok to have booth, but I would prob just do the frame at the reception.

  • Definitely just one. I wanted to do the same thing, just didnt think about it before I did my guest book.
I voted guest book b/c sometimes brides dont really hang up the picture frames. I had two friend who did them and they are in the closet. :(

  • I would do just one. We actually bought the exact same thing, but for a little cheaper from Amazon. Gotta love Amazon free shipping as well.

  • We are having both. we have a wedding frame... which has minimal writting room.
and we have our guest book...

mind you our Venue and Reception are at the same place so it isn't too much of a problem in remembering to take things...
