So talked to my MOH this morning. We were talking about planning and what she can help with etc. I was just telling her some things that hadn't been done and some would say I used bad ettiquite but it was just me and my best friend chit chatting and I mentioned not knowing if anyone was planning a shower and it getting so close and she was like oh that's my job. So appearantly she intended on it just hadn't said anything. Which makes me relieved that someone had thought of it...but bad that maybe she wanted to surprise me and I ruined it. I hate surprises though lol. She hasn't set a date or anything she said she was going to get with my mom about a good date and place.

I think it's really hard to keep bridal showers a surprise.  Actually, I don't see why they need to be a surprise party anyway.  People are so busy or live in different cities (in my case 3 hours from where my shower will be back home) that in a lot of cases it's impossible to have it be a surprise (people need to take time off from work, travel, have other commitments, etc).  I've never been to a bridal shower where it was a surprise for the bride and I'd never heard of surprise bridal showers until joining the Knot.

Hey I don't blame you.  I've been curious if anyone is planning mine.  It was mentioned at first when I asked my MoH to be my MoH, but I haven't heard anything since.  But yes I'd be relieved to, now you know its something that is being planned even if it is just in the begining stages.

Im glad someone alluded to the fact you are having one they should get on it with only 3 months left. I also hate surprises I know the date and time of my shower and the location.

Thats great that you know something will be planned.
I am not a fan of surprises and i just had my shower yesterday, i told my MOH that i wanted to know the date, time & location. She wouldnt tell me the location, so FI drove me around in circles for 5 min telling me it was at McDonalds, random warehouses, a soccer field etc, all before we arrived at the restaurant, oh man i love him=)

my sister sent me an email telling me she booked it and that its in Mcdonalds playland! sounds like your Fi would fit in with my family!

op- so glad you are getting a shower- i also hate suprises! i wanna look good at my shower not show up to like my sisters house to play with my neices and have all these people there! my sister also asked me for a guest list so i knew she was planning one!
