NWR- Blown fuses

I was using our sandwich press to make lunch for H and I.  When I turned it off, the light in the kitchen got very bright, which was odd.  I didn't think anything was wrong.  H went to the fridge to get drinks and it was off, we blew a fuse, no big deal.  I reset it and then H smelled something burning.  This blown fuse burned my new toaster from the shower, but it still works.  It fried my Keurig and microwave.  The microwave is like 7 years old and I paid like $30 when I bought it, so no big deal.  I called Macy's about the Keurig and they said to bring it in store and they'll exchange it.

Everything is ok thankfully, just need some new appliances.

Re: NWR- Blown fuses

  • Oh no! I would call an electrician to see where they can do so that you don't burn out that fuse again. We had that problem when we first bought our house last year. We had to get an electrician put in a new line for the microwave so it would stop blowing out half the house. The house had the kitchen, and living room on one line and the bedrooms and bathroom on another.
