Whiter teeth through tanning !

So I looked into bright smile for our wedding, over $500 to have it done at the dentist get the trays made etc .... My tanning salon just got in twilight teeth ! I love it , i wish i would have bought it on ebay and not at the salon but hey live and learn. I have used it twice and my teeth are no joke 4 shades or more whiter any yellowing i had at the base of my teeth are gone its just crazy ! My teeth look great !  You put a mouth guard type thing in that pulls your lips back, paint your teeth and get in the tanning bed. If anyone is looking for an in expensive way to whiten your teeth for the big day this is it !  I went in a higher level bed once for 7 mins once for 10 mins and i am absolutly amazed !

* For those against tanning it does come with a uv light that clips into the mouth piece not sure how well it works but it does come with one.

  • Awesome!  I've been looking for a good whitening before our e-pics and wanted to start tanning, so this may be a great solution.  I found this listing on e-bay:

Is that the right thing?  Thanks for the PSA!

  •  The Crest 3D White toothpaste really works too.  It's a super cheap way to get whiter teeth.  In 2 weeks, my teeth were significantly whiter.  I was impressed that a toothpaste could do that!

I'm not into tanning at all!  In college, my work study job was in a dermatologist's office where they did skin cancer surgeries.  I would see the patients come out of the office all bandaged up and with samples of sunscreen.  I have very fair skin, and the risk of skin cancer just isn't worth it for me to head to the tanning booth.  I'm constatntly putting sunscren on when I'm outside and my makeup/face moisturizers have sunscreen in it too.  Plus, staying out of the sun/UV keeps your skin looking younger longer.  My friends that tan are already developing wrinkles in their 20's.

Yea, I can't get on board with tanning. There was a 20 some year old in my town who was supposed to be getting married by the end of the week, instead he was going to be dead from melanoma. I know way too many people who have died from melanoma. Really, it's just not worth it. My dermatologist says anytime a young girl comes into his office who tans, he thinks to himself "that's a new car for me" because most likely they'll get skin cancer. Melanoma can spread really quickly too. Like in weeks or months my derm says.

  • I tried using those whitestrips to whiten my teeth before and I guess my teeth are super sensitive because it really hurt my teeth.  My teeth were extremely sensitive afterwards and it was very uncomfortable to eat...I had to stop using those whitening strips.  Does this twilight teeth use a gel?  I'm not big on tanning booths (I prefer spray tans) but if it is only a couple visits to a booth, I would consider doing this to get my teeth real white for the wedding.  Unless, it does use a whitening gel type of thing, then I don't think I could do it.  I think my teeth would hate me.  Haha.
