Ring bearer gifts

We have 3 ring bearers: 6, 4,(brothers) and 1.5 years old.

My FSIL got the 6 year old a child-size but high-quality guitar when he was a ring bearer in her wedding (3 yrs old). He stood next to the DJ and "played" with him thorugh most of the reception.

I want to get them something they can use that day.

Ideas:
Watch- my fiance wants to get the 6 year old a watch with lots of features/modes/buttons. He says "boys love those!"
Kid's video camera- my fiance thinks we should get this for the 4 year old. I think it would be way more fun than a watch, so we should get it for the older brother and get the 4 year old a regular camera (the 6 yr old has one already and "they share everything!")

No ideas for the 1.5 year old.

We want something fun but super high quality, not too messy or too many pieces. Would love something wedding related (music, videography/photography- what else do guests do at a wedding that we could replicate in a gift?)

Re: Ring bearer gifts

  • We got our RB's (8&9) the cameras from TK's wedding shop. They're my nephews and when they would come visit, they always love taking pictures, etc., so they were a perfect choice. We also got them camo shirts that say "Official Ring Guard" because they're very into camo and will loooove that. They can wear them in the pictures of the GM's having their shirts held open for the superhero picture.

  • We got our ring bearer and FI's two other nephews (had to be "fair") L.L. Bean Duffel bags with their names monogramed on them.  They are the smallest ones and $40.00 a piece.  We had an age difference that made it hard to get them all the same gift.

I think your idea sounds amazing.

For the 1.5 year old...hard to say.  I can't really think of anything to replicate what wedding guests would do for someone that age...especially a high quality thing.  Maybe get him something to keep him entertained...maybe even a build a bear in a tux?  Then do something with his name on it that he maybe won't use at the reception, but that's something that he can keep and will appreciate when he's a little older?

I had a real hard time figuring out what to get our ring bearer.
He's 8 and while we thought about upgrading his wii and getting him a game, we wanted him to have something he could keep.
So...we decided to get him a wii game, i made him a "ring security" shirt (which he LOVES...I gave it to him early so he could wear it to the rehearsal and he's already worn it to school for gym class so that his friends could see it), tickets to an Michigan State hockey game (kid loves hockey), an MSU hockey jersey and a pocket watch with his name engraved on it.

Phew..probably too much but he's going to love it.

  • We purchased a lego set for our 6-year-old ringbearer.
