10/13 Wedding Recap
Everything was beautiful and as perfect as I could have imagined. My hair/makeup artist and photographer said I was the most calm bride they have ever seen, which was a surprise. While I am TYPICALLY laid back, high stress situations really bring out the worst in me. Thankfully, my wedding seems to have been an exception. H wrote me a beautiful note that I truly wasn't expecting - it was one of my most treasured highlights from the whole day.
The ceremony was held in the same neighborhood as an Oktoberfest celebration, so while we were all ready to start on time, our guests were having trouble with parking so we ran a few minutes late. No biggy, just extra time to let my nerves marinate lol (not much of a public speaker,etc.). Walking down the aisle was a blur. I wanted to look around at all of the people there, but H only had eyes for me. It was so much faster than expected!! Our pastor, even though second choice, was excellent and well-spoken.
As for our vows themselves, I started breaking out in a little nervious rash (no one could see but pastor and H) and H fumbled with the word "faithfully" and said thankfully lol. It got a chuckle from the crowd. When it was my turn to repeat I had to think about it so hard so that I wouldn't also say thankfully that it sounded like I was poking fun at H - I wasnt though lol!!
We had so much fun with our wedding party on the party bus in between the ceremony and receptions. The weather was overcast, but we were just thankful for nice temperatures and no rain. They say overcast makes for the best picutres anyway I guess.
The reception was a smash hit. I can't tell you how many people went on and on about our venue. It was small and intimate enough that I feel like we got to spend quality time with each of our guests. Our DJ was awesome and the food was good. There were a couple of things that went wrong (forgot the table numbers and had to use paper and pen lol and they had the wrong potatos) but honestly, I could care less. I married the love of my life and threw an awesome party to celebrate it!
Honeymoon was in Riviera Maya and it was wonderful as well! Happy to have a tan again

Well, when I got to work this morning I checked my email and there was one from our photographer! She had already revealed her "teaser" picture and I really wasn't expecting to her from her until all the images were complete so we can tlk aobut our album. She sent me a link to a wedding day slideshow she put together. I cried at work! It was beautiful and so unexpected.
Anyway, here is the link to the slideshow. Thanks for looking! Congrats to all of you October brides and good luck to the rest of you!!! <
