Farewell October! Hello September!

Some of you may remember my earlier post about my hotel drama, due to a home football game. When we tried to push the date back, to be more accomidating to our OOT guests, our reception site wasn't available. So to not lose our deposit or vision of our wedding, FI and I have decided to push our date up one week to September 29th. The church and reception site are both available on that date. There is a home game that weekend, but it's not a Big Ten showdown, so the rooms are a bit cheaper. Also my sister, MOH, told me that I am too accomidating and that if our OOT guests think our hotel block is too expensive, they can Priceline someplace else. So I feel a little more at ease.

I am sad to leave this awesome community. You ladies are so sweet and give great advice. I hope the September girls are just as nice. If they aren't, I'll be lurking over here. I mean 9/29 is practically Ocotober anyways, right?? Love and blessings to all! I hope your wedding adventure is smooth sailing and filled with hapiness!

You don't have to lurk! You'll still be an honorary October bride as far as I'm concerned. Congrats on getting your date situation figured out. I'm sure that's taken a whole lot of stress off your shoulders!

Thanks guys! Again, the support on this board is incredible...much better than the E board (HAHA). I'll try to check in often and see how things are going.

I completely understand where you are coming from, i'm in Big Ten Country too, Nebraska, and we scheduled our wedding for a nonfootball weekend due to prices and I don't really want people showing up at our wedding with headphones on, lol.  Goodluck and best wishes!
