airbrush makeup?

how many of you are doing air brush makeup?

I'm super interested in doing it, but it is becoming near impossible to find an artist in my area (Trumbull County, Ohio)

Just wondered if anyone else was doing it?

Re: airbrush makeup?

  • I'm not. I had it done for another wedding and didn't find it to look any better or last longer.
  • I am doing it since the artists I hired only do airbrush. I'm having my trial on Saturday, so I'll let you know how it goes. :)

  • I did a trial of this and did not care for it.  Some people rave about it.  I think it all depends on personal preference.  If you are thinking about doing this for your wedding, make sure you do a trial first.
    Anniversary wedding-1 my read shelf:
Heidi's book recommendations, liked quotes, book clubs, book trivia, book lists (read shelf)
  • I am doing it because that is all my MU artist does too.

  • I actually did a trial where they did half my face with the airbrush and half with regular make-up and the airbrush look so much nicer.  It just had this polished glow that the other side didn't have.  And it felt lighter.  It was weird.  I have also heard/read that pictures turn out so much more amazing when you have the airbrush.

I was lucky to find someone where the cost was the same regardless of which method.  I saw MANY that charged a significant amount more for you to upgrade to airbrush.

I'm sure you will look beautiful regardless of which one you end up with.

  • I'm having air brush. With the right MUA, it's worth it...especially if you think you'll really tear up.
After my trial, I went for a 6 mile run. Nasty sweaty, but my face was still perfect. No lie.

But again, it all depends on your artist.
  • I'm doing airbrush make-up. I need heavy coverage since I have acne scars and stress has made my skin tone uneven. I LOVED how it came out during my trial and it lasted all day. I definitely recommend it if you have anything you want to cover up.

  • I'm doing it.  I had my trial already and I thought it looked really good AND it didn't feel like I had a ton of makeup on, which is important to me.
  • Had two trials....awful, awful and expensive.  Definitely get a trial first.  I am doing my own makeup and picked up a great airbrush kit from Physicians that looks awesome.  Make sure you have time to practice if you choose to do your own makeup.
