Well she's not completely, she was just scared and the stupid Pet Hotel people didn't know how to handle her.
We were heading out to Austin yesterday, but were planned on boarding our pit/lab/boxer mix at the PetHotel in San Antonio. When the girl bent down to put the red ribbon on her Lexi growled and barked. -- Never has done this before. She LOVES people. -- The girl got scared and my dog could pick up on those vibes and everytime she tried to put the ribbon on her Lexi kept barking and at one point lunged at her.
They brought in some other people to try and handle her and 1 guy was able to, but the manager said no way could they board her because she could bite someone and the 1 guy that could handle her wasn't there 24/7.
I've been around animals all my life and I am the first one to understand the situation and I probably wouldn't have had my little meltdown if they manager hadn't had such attitude about it, telling me that I needed to socialize my dog more and get her used to other people before I tried boarding her again with any boarding facility.
So I am freaking out about what I am going to do with my dog for the 2 days (at this point 1.5 because they took so long with her). Luckily I wa able to leave her at my house and have a family friend drop by and check on her and let her outside. But if that is the only hitch I run into with this wedding I'll take it.
Only a few more hours.
