Passport drama

FI and I both needed our passports for our HM.  FI has been out of the country, but with the Army so he didn't need a passport, I've never been.  We went end of Jun, and was given 4-6 weeks.  Around 3 weeks I got my passport.  YAY!  Figuring FI's and our birth certificates would soon follow.  Last week got my birth certificate, nothing for FI.  Next day, FI gets a letter saying he has insufficient id for passport!  We both gave birth certificate, and drivers liscense!  Only thing I can think of was in his drivers liscense he had a beard, which he shaved off that week, but has it again now (long story)

Now FI has to fill out this ridulous paper work, stating all his siblings (there's 9 of them, he only talks to 1) their address, phone number, work... 5 people who have known him for 5 years or longer, and 5 proofs of ID 5 years or older!  He'd been an active duty soldier for 10 years, they should know who he is!  And he throws everything away... so we are trying to get his mama to sent us stuff.

In the list of possible thing - school yearbook WTF?!  Oh and they have passport listed... *headdesk*  They also say Military ID, which he still has, but it's not 5 years or older so does it count?  I'm about to sent every and anything I can find, and really hope I don't have to change our HM to something state side...

This makes me feel a little better.

I forgot to add we called and 1800 number and asked what was insufficient.  We went to the post office and got it all done there so we wouldn't mess up... they wouldn't tell us anything, and pretty much said comply or you're screwed - thanks a lot!
