Today is mine and FI's 7 year dating anniversary.  I'm somewhat sad to see September 6 go as our anniversary and be replaced by October 19, but I'm really excited to be getting married in 6 weeks.  I think FI is somewhat happy that our anniversary will no longer be 4 days after my birthday.

congrats!!  i feel the same about our "anniversary"...we started dating on december 28, 2008 and our real anniversary will be october 28, 2012.
we found it weird to give anniversary gifts 3 days after xmas, but now we get to do it a couple days before halloween!

Congrats! Our wedding anniversary will be 2 weeks before my birthday and 5 weeks before FI's . We're thinking we might do a weekend getaway each year to celebrate all three events.

We're getting married the day before my birthday and 29 days after his. We'll celebrate everything with an annual Columbus Day weekend away.

we felt the same way....so we will be getting married on our five year anniversary...Oct 27th!  it just worked out that it fell on a Saturday.  Gift giving is rough for us...October is our anniversary, November is FI's birthday, December is Christmas, January is my birthday, and Feb. is V-day.  I call it the 5 months of doom!  So hard coming up with three presents right after another.

We only exchange gifts for Christmas.  Aniversaries we just go out to dinner, and birthdays we go on a vacation.  I might proclaim wedding anniversary a gift giving thing though lol.

ETA - our birthdays are 17 days apart, so 1 trip for both birthdays

We started dating 6 days after my birthday, so replacing our "anniversary" for one that is over a month from my birthday will be nice.  

It stinks to have every clustered at one time of the year!  In my family, the first birthday of the year is in July (followed by an August and three Novembers).  Its nice that FI's birthday is in May and we have something to celebrate before the second half of the year!

I honestly can't even remember exactly what day our dating anniversary is, but we have actually never celebrated it.

Aw, happy anniversary!

We've always said we were going to keep celebrating our anniversary the way we always had (recreating our first date: a museum and sushi), but I just found out that after our last anniversary in February, the sushi place closed! I'm glad we got all of our "only dating" anniversaries in there while we could, and I think we'll at least try to keep going out for our dating anniversary, too, at least until we have kids and it means worrying about a sitter (or subjecting kids to sushi, ha!).

Our anni is february 9th. Its kind of a blessing to have our wedding anni to celebrate instead! February is busy for us anni on the 9th, valentine's, FI's bday the 16th, my sis's bday the 20th... ahhhh! We'll probably still celebrate with a movie or something on the 9th but the big celebration will be october 26 now.

FI and I would celebrate 6 years on Nov. 30th, but obviously we'll be married instead this year I don't think it's something we'll continue to celebrate, but I'll always remember it. Our anniversary never interfered with birthdays and still won't! I'm May 2nd and he's May 24th! All of our family just about is right there too, though! His mom is April 27th, his sister May 1st, and my brother May 15th!! Craziness

Our 4 year anniversary will be a few weeks after the wedding, but I'm happy to keep our anniversary in the same month.

Many of you have a lot of years in your relationship. Not us! Birthdays for us are Feb and March, so an October anniversary spreads it out just a bit.

We knew we were getting married and replacing our date so we adopted our dog on our dating anniversary so that her bday will be that date. Juuust so we remember. (FI's idea...not mine!)

Although our wedding is going to be 2 weeks after my bday and the DAY after FI's.  He feels a littl screwed haha but we can just make it one big celebration weekend for everything!

I like the idea of a yearly vacation.  It's perfect because our FY at work ends in Sept so after the end of FY stress we can take a much needed vacay!

I know how you are feeling. In a few weeks we will be celebrating our last dating anniversary. I requested that we do something a little nicer since it's our last. It will be replaced by something better. I hope we never forget that day.
