Weekend to do list.. whats on yours?

This weekend I plan on going though the RSVP's that can come in recently and updating them in my excel spread sheet. I also want to go over the seating chart and mark off the ones have have already RSVP'd yes so I know for sure where they are sitting this way maybe next week I can start with the place cards. My goal is to have everything done and ready to go at least 2 weeks before the wedding so I can just sit back and enjoy the time I have left.

I'd really like to start working on centerpieces this weekend.

- Start addressing invitations 

- Decide if I want to use the bridal shop where I bought my dress for alterations or an independent seamstress

- Work on table numbers

Finish the 2 centerpieces I have left to make, make a few more escort cards (sans table number) and plan the rehearsal dinner.

Since we are having a BBQ style reception I'll probably be buying drinks and plates this weekend. I'd also like to finish up buying stuff for our bathroom baskets.

I'm really hoping to get my invites finished. I have about 30 FI had to get addresses for and I THINK he got them. I also have about 10 that are almost finished. Just need to tie my bow and stuff and seal. I will be SO glad to get them done. I plan on mailing Aug 20. I was going to send just the OOT ones then and 2 wks later do the local ones but I'm just going to get rid of all of them at the same time! We didn't send STD's except to a few people OOT and ppl we knew would have to ask off early. So they prob need to go out. Also. I would really like to figure out what I'm going to do for centerpieces. I also want to start picking up items I'm going to need for hunch punch. If anyone has a recipe they have made/tried/liked I'd LOVE IT! Sunday we are going to FIs Church instead of mine because the pastor who is marrying us is a guest speaker. Then that night we have our 3rd week of our marriage class with him.

Working on flowers again...but this weekend I'm hoping to assemble the boutonnieres, bouguets and corsages!!! Need to strart hunting for the branches for the centerpieces....want to go look at candy at Sams and Party City and want to try the woodburning on the hearts I bought at Hobby Lobby to see if thats going to work and I want to do some baking and try out the chocolate transfer sheets I bought online!  They are a woodgrain chocolate transfer sheet....see the link to the grooms cake...I want to do cookies with this pattern also!!!!

Continuing to stalk the mailbox for RSVPs and tomorrow we have our "pre-marriage seminar" with the church.  It's 9am-4:30pm with several other couples getting married I believe.  I can't say I'm really looking forward to it (weekends are precious!), but maybe we'll be pleasantly surprised....

Today after work: Going with dad to the tux place (he wants to match FI and is really worried, so I said I'd go with to help him), buying hostess gifts for my mom and MOH since my shower is this Sunday
Saturday: 2nd meeting with our florist to iron out more details, after this we might need another meeting to communicate the number of centerpieces we'll need, first fitting
Sunday: Makeup trial at MAC counter, bridal shower, immediately begin thank you notes (LOL!)

:-3 Sounds like we're all busy-busy!

Continue going through snapfish, photo albums, etc to get pictures of FI and I for our photo montage at the reception for our DJ.
I finally got my shoes so I am going to decorate the bottom.

Maybe design the labels for our wedding favors...and tie ribbon to the bubbles!

My hair trial is tomorrow and I'm super excited! I'm not completely sure what I want but that's what the trial is for, right? We also need to pick up our rings. Since we want them engraved we might have to leave them there though. Just want to get the next step done with those. They've been ready for a week! I'm also planning to finish making my BM gifts. And I need to send out thank you's from my shower last weekend. I've had them written since Tuesday just haven't addressed them and put them in the mail yet. There are a few other wedding errands I'd like to get taken care of too. The next four weekends are full of NWR stuff so this needs to be a productive wedding weekend!

Today we are going to buy our wedding bands.  This weekend I also want to get part of my bridesmaids gifts.  My invitations also came in so I'll pick those up so I can stuff them next week.

I'm excited because FI took the day off from work so we can have a nice lunch date.  With all the wedding planning, it's hard to find "non-wedding" time.  So before we go to get our rings, we are going for a really nice lunch at one of our favorite restaurants in Boston!

I plan to start working on my lampshades for my centerpieces and attach the ribbon to the vases for my and my BMs bouquets so they can be placed on the head table.

Tonight I am scrambling to finish putting together the mobile I made for my sister, her baby shower is tomorrow and I'd really like to give it to her then. Tomorrow the shower starts at 11:30 and I have NO idea how long it's going to be so that may eat up a chunk of my day. Sunday is going to be a relaxing day, updating my RSVP excel sheet and doing a little more work on my seating chart.

What's on my to-do list? Absolutely NADA! FI and I are leaving for vacation with my family this afternoon, and I am declaring it a planning-free zone! The one and only wedding-related thing I want to do while we're gone is look for toasting flutes. We're looking for something unique and there are a lot of handmade glass and art places around where we're going.

Nothing!!!!  Actually today I'm going to be scrambling to seal my invites and take them to the post office after work!  Then, nothing!    We are going up to Yosemite (I love it there!) for FI's parent's 40th anniversary.  We put in for the final lottery to see if we will get to hike half dome (and hopefully not die) on Sunday, then hang out with the family for a few days!  I'm excited to do nothing wedding related and check out for a few days!!!

ABSOLUTELY NOTHING!!!  lol.  we are going to go camping for the night on saturday, and we are not going to talk about the wedding.  period.  I am very happy to have a weekend without wedding talk so we can focus on us instead.

I think we are actually going to print invitations. Finally. I grinned, somewhat laughing at myself, when I saw this. I feel so behind! I have almost all of my envelopes addressed, FI is 'still working on getting addresses". I told him this morning, that its ok. If only my side is there, we eat more cake!

My birthday is Tuesday, so FI is making me a fancy pants dinner tomorrow. He goes to Phoenix for a week for work on Sunday and I work tonight.

In between all of that, I'm hoping to get the last of the candles we need for centerpieces, finish the table number stands, finish my personalized wire hanger, and order some more stuff (lighted leaf garlands, personalized toasting flutes, wedding coloring books for the kids).

Tomorrow are (finally) getting FI, our dads and the best man measured for tuxes.  The other 2 will get measured at a later date.  I am hoping that the meeting goes well bc it is at Men's Wearhouse and some people have said they have had not so good experiences with them.  We will also be using a gift card at target to get FI something to wear for our engagement pictures next weekend and some shower thank you cards.

Tuesday is my hair trial, first fitting and, meeting with the coordinator at the venue.  That should be a crazy day.

I am getting together with some friends and we are making the ribbon wands for our post ceremony and the hydgrangea pomanders for my centerpieces.  Need to mail the deposit for our rehearsal dinner and try to get our mother's moving on paying down some of our vendor balances. Nothing too exhausting I hope!

and maybe put the center pieces together and in a box ready to bring to the reception hall...

probaby put together the names that have RSVP'd in an excel spread sheet and get ready to start with seating charts...

We are having ceremony at 6:00pm and reception to follow.  We are having it all in one place so that makes it a little easier.  We are doing a sparkler sendoff at 11pm!!! 

I got a lot of complaints from my family about having the ceremony at 4 or 5pm saying they all have to work...and I was like, ya, I know you have to work, but I'm giving you 10 months notice, shouldnt you be able to take off a few hours early for my wedding....BUT...to keep the calm...we just decided to do it at 6:00 and that way no one has any excuse....this also forced us to have dinner...which is fine....we are doing a full dinner...but doing the buffet thing...and candy bar thing!!!  Give me details!!!

FI is out of town until the 20th, so I am going to focus on a lot of wedding stuff while he's gone.

This weekend, I'd like to get some decor items marked off my list, finish strassing my shoes, make some signs for the ceremony, reception, and pictures.  I'm sure there is more, but can't think of it right now.

I'm going to send out my invitations tomorrow. And I'd also like to order our cake serving set, and my bracelet for the wedding day this weekend. Not too much!
