Need a Photographer??

Hello everyone, hope all your planning is going well.
I have decided that i am not going to break the bank for a photographer. I want all my hard earned money to go to the food, drink and DJ.
i made the mistake of falling in love (online romance) with an awesome photographer in Philly (L.Daley), but i can not afford her beautiful artistic photos.
so my question is who are you using? what are you paying? and if you already had your wedding or know someone who has, who did they use? did they like the photographer and thier photos?
i am getting married in May 2012 in Princeton Jct. NJ, so any photographers in the philadelphia, bucks county, south jersey or central jersey area that you reccomend please let me know!

Would you mind sharing you max budget?  I wouldn't want to recommend anyone else who will break the bank.

i would say max is $2500.00
and i would love to stay under that. i am not your average bride i guess in that i do not want a video, and i dont really want a photographer from the time i wake up until the time the event is over. id be happy with ceremony pics, and wedding party and family pics only.

Artistic Imagery falls under that budget. I know there are those who aren't exactly a fan, but I used them and have nothing but great things to say. I requested Beth specifically. Good luck.

Depending on what you want, Artistic Imagery might not fall into that budget-- for instance if you want two photographers for a full day, they will be about 1000 over.  You might be able to get one photog for 2500.  If you do us AI, I would make sure that you are very clear with them you want to pick your own photographer.  Otherwise you will just get the luck of the draw.

I've recently stumbled upon a new photographer, Kelly Miller.  It's a husband and wife team who are just starting out, but I think their pictures are very lovely-- and I think she falls into the 1500 range for two photographers and digital negatives.  Not sure if she does albums or not.

Stefani Chung is my photographer and I would think she'd be around your budget if you only needed her for let's say... 6hrs?  She is from the DC area but she is traveling to Philly for me.  Her style is photojournalistic/rustic/romantic but she is also pretty new at this (usually a second photographer for the more experienced photographer). She takes amazing pics though and I can show you a sample of her work from my friend's wedding which she shot for free as practice.

Stephanie Glover Photography.  She comes with two shooters.  We paid $1300 for two shooters and the rights on a CD.  I know she has upped her prices a bit, but it would still be in your price range.

We loved working with her.  So much so that I am doing B-pics with her next weekend (eep!)
