Re: QOTD 9/7

  • I remember watching Gummy Bears, My LIttle Pony, NKOTB (does anyone else remember their cartoon? I think it was short-lived) and Garfield.  However, my loyalities lay with any and all Muppets.

  • my brothers and I loved Arthur but msotly watched it in middle school.  We didn't watch a lot of TV as kids except for the occasional Dexters's Lab and Powerpuff Girls.  I watched both of those shows with my fiance last weekend!
  • I liked the Loony Toons hour and some show that I can't remember the name of that was under the sea or on the sea...

  • I LOVED Muppet Babies, and wish I could go back and rewatch it, but from what I understand, it's in licensing hell because of all the clips and music from other stuff they used and so it'll probably pretty much never be on DVD. :(

I don't know why, but I loved Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles!  I used to pretend I was the female character (I think her name was April) and always wanted to eat pizza with them (they're favorite food was pizza).  I was the prissiest, girliest little girl, so this is still very bizzare to me lol.

  • I absolutely loved the Snorks!  I still do, but can never find them on TV.  I think they need to bring back the Snorks!!

  • I didn't really watch too much tv when I was of cartoon-watching age.  My mom was the mom that was always pushing her kids out the door to play outside.  She was also pretty strict on what we got to watch (I remember she HATED Rugrats).  We only had one tv with no cable, and as the oldest, I recall there always being a lot of shows on that were more suited for the younger kids.  I think the tv was usually on PBS, so lots of Magic School Bus and Arthur.  I ended up reading a lot of books over watching tv shows for "babies".

I have done some recent watching of MSB and Arthur; I now think that all of Arthur's probablys are ridiculous and he's totally a drama queen.  I still think Ms. Frizzle is awesome and is probably part of the reason that I went into a science based career.
  • I always loved the classics like bugs bunny.....coyote and road runner...porky the pig and daffy duck.

I saw HE-MAN xmas special last year (with She-Ra) omgosh that was FUNNY!
  • Scooby-Doo! and yep, my kids like it too

  • The smurfs, The Jetsons, The Muppet Babies, and Scooby Doo were my favorites. I still find all of them really entertaining. I can't say the same for the non-cartoon shows I used to watch. I loved Dukes of Hazzard as a kid, so I rewatched some episodes. It was awful!!!!

  • Hmm, I love the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, used to watch Muppet Babies and Arthur as well. But I think my favorite has to go out to Garfied (I have a Garfield day to day calendar sitting on my desk at work :P) and Coyote and Road Runner from Looney Toons. To this day I have a two foot tall Coyote as my house wearing my favorite flannel shirt from high school and college that is SO decimated I can't repair it anymore.
It doesn't have to be perfect to be everything I want!

    Totally Gummy Bears!

Edit: I don't have cable so I don't see any cartoons.  I was home this weekend though, and my sister (grown woman) made us watch Scooby Doo.  I couldn't believe how bad it was!

  • I LOVED Duck Tales.  I have watched them again and still like them.  I also liked Tail Spin, Tiny Toons and Gummy Bears.  I tried to watch Inspector Gadget a few weeks ago and that was awful.

I did watch the Snorks about 2 weeks ago on Boomerang I think and I loved it.

  • Smurfs was my absolute favorite.  It was on for hours every Saturday morning.  I haven't seen an episode in years but now that I'm an adult I can realize just how weird that cartoon was.

  • I remember watching old Pink Panther cartoons and classic Looney Tunes when I was really little. Later on it was all about Tiny Toons, Animaniacs, Doug, Rocko's Modern Life and The Angry Beavers. Saturday mornings were Garfield, XMen, Ninja Turtles, and ReBoot. Does anyone else remember ReBoot, or is it just me?

I also liked David the Gnome (WHO REMEMBERS THAT SHOIW?! HAHA).  When I was a bit older, I liked Doug and Rugrats.  But Muppet Babies was my ultimate fav.
