Rehearsal Dinner

Who exactly should be invited to the rehearsal dinner?

Since we are getting married on a Friday afternoon, and the wedding party consists of 4 people; do we really need to have one?

Re: Rehearsal Dinner

  • Anyone at the rehearsal should be invited to the rehearsal dinner, so anyone involved in your wedding. It does not have to be anything fancy.  It can be pizza or subs at your house.   If you are doing gifts for your parents/ bridal party they are usually given out at the RD.

  • I dont think it, is necessary, if you do not want to have it, if you do not want to.

  • A rehearsal dinner is not necessary at all. Like PP mentioned, it can also be very informal. Just make sure you invite your WP's SOs also.

Usually you invite the WP, their spouses or SOs, your parents, his parents, the officiant (and anyone else who needs to be at the rehearsal - ie readers, musicians) and sometimes OOT guests. It doensn't have to be a fancy or expensive affair - we're doing pizza and wings in the church basement.
