Hi Ladies! I just posted on the DIY board but I figured I'd also post on my month board. To check out the photos, I put them in "My photos".
I need advice on our invitations. The invitation kit was purchased at Staples. I tried printing directly on the invite but the printer could not detect the size or something (plus there is a texture around it). So, we came up with the idea to print on vellum and I thought it would be nice to add one of my photos (I’m into photography). I did a mock up and FI and Mom loved it.
As I was lurking on the DIY board, I came across an invitation with grommets and thought they were awesome! Going with this idea since vellum breaks easily, I ordered a grommet tool but of course the pre-cut holes on the invitation were too far down (arrrr!). I was trying to come up with ideas. The first was to cut the top part of the invitation and glue it back. FI was like, um no. LOLOL!! The second was to just put the grommets in the vellum. Success! So, when I put it together just to see how it looked, I think I like the invitation better without the photo (so did FI).
Which is better, with photo or without?
Also, we are in the process of fixing the format of the invite, so these are the old print-outs (of course we printed 20 of them and my Mom suggested we fix them—arrr!)
