kinda freaking out about venue

So on facebook I just looked at my venues upcoming events this fall and there is another event booked at the same time (its an event they are sponsoring). I know that can happen but the thing is that its a small venue (small museum that doesnt get much wedding or event traffic) which they are having us use the courtyard for the ceremony which in order to get into the venue, you have to go through, so people for this other event could potentially crash my ceremony as they walk into their event, or vendors for that event could be setting up and coming through my ceremony and during my pictures (also outside in the courtyard since its got a huge flag backdrop I fell in love with that made we want to book this venue, which has the stairs behind it which they would be using to set up the upstairs space so they would be in all my pictures).
I will be sending them an email but since they are closed Sunday and Monday, I will probably not hear back from them about it until tuesday at the earliest. Now I'm nervous because it looks like something in my venue planning is changing... The last time I talked to them was  3 weeks ago because we had to send over the caterer information, also a week prior to that they approved my invites in which they didnt say anything about this event and we booked the venue back in January so they knew about our event for quite some time.

  • Oh no!!

I hope that's not the case. I will keep my fingers crossed it's happening somewhere else on the property.

  • oh no! think good thoughts. Maybe they'll have it set up and ready before your ceremony and it'll be pretty with more lights and decor for your wedding!...(and also hopefully have enough parking spaces for guests for both events)

  • Just make sure that you're comfortable with how the venue plans to handle the two events at once.
